still another page from my "sketchbook of ugliness"

I've really been getting into making these ugly drawings lately.  For whatever reason, I find myself looking forward to the weekend when I can sketch out really unflattering portraits of people who deserve to be captured in such a manner.

Today's caricature is of a member of the "Fox And Friends" morning show which airs weekday mornings on Fox 'News'.  I usually avoid that channel because it's nothing but right-wing, pro-Bush, pro-war misinformation 24 hours a day.  They call themselves "fair and balanced", but I'm pretty sure they mean that ironically.  It's pure crap.  And the on-camera personalities are like parodies of actual news persons.  I've read that their ratings are way down.  What a surprise.

And that brings us to Steve Doocy.  He's the 'weather guy' who tries to look like the apple-cheeked, all-American boy next door -- even though he's getting a little long in the tooth to play that part.  I guess he has appeal in the red states among grannies with glaucoma who think he's "a cute boy".

I've never seen him; last time I turned on Fox Noise, I was trying to delete it from my channel selections. Didn't work. I just skip it when I surf. But I'd like to know why [Fox Noise] comes with Basic Cable (along with two or three religious channels), but CNN doesn't. Fortunately, I have Expanded Basic Cable.
Unfortunately, the New Technology (i. e., new TV, multi-function remotes) don't let me delete things. Not that it made much difference. Every time I'd just finished deleting them, the cable would go off. And I'd have to re-program everything. Then go delete what I didn't want.
So, I don't delete anything anymore. I smell conspiracy.

I'm gonna have to watch Fox now & check this character out...never watch them at all for all the reasons you have mentioned.

You're just peeling away the false faces and showing what's really there. I haven't watched anything related to Fox since the X Files went off the air.
