The newest addition

Today was a bittersweet day...  and a day that makes me wonder why I put myself through this...  Today Purl gave birth to her and Hank's 2 sons, a brindle boy and a pied boy...  Unfortunately, her brindle son didn't make it... no reason why, just didn't... we tried everything we could to get him going, but nothing would ... and it breaks my heart...  the pied boy seems healthy and strong but I do worry...  I pray he makes it and thrives...  so far so good... Purl came through with flying colors, thank goodness...  and I am thankful for the one gorgeous boy she has...  This is a day that anyone who has bred long enough can relate to...  it never gets any easier... Please keep our pied guy in your thoughts

Thanks Lisa...  it has been a struggle, but we are all still hanging in there 3 days later... I am cautiously optimistic that things will get better soon... and that he will really start to grow and gain...  This is so exhausting and stressful and emotionally draining...  But I do feel like this little guy's brindle brother is watching us from above and rooting him on...  maybe he was meant to be his guardian angel...

My goodness, he is precious!!! Bittersweet day yes, my gosh I'm so sorry - but congrats on this handsome little fella. Will keep him in our thoughts with high hopes that he will continue to grow strong.

I'm always amazed at how strong breeders are to handle situations like this. Hang in there...

    Hugs and congrats,
