Monday Morning Question With Krissy

What is your screename? How did you choose it? What does it mean to you?
My screen name has always been very important to me. During my time on AOL, I have met many people. One person was from Australia. After meeting her I learned that her husband had just passed away from cancer and her daughter also, within three months of each other. She was left with two grandchildren to bring up. I offered to go to Australia to help her with them and did so for six months. My problem at the time, was I had a terrible fear of flying, one so much that I had not flown in ten years. So for my first flight, I ended up on a three day flight to Australia. I never met my friends daughter but I felt a spiritual connection to her. I felt that she was there with me on my flight, helping to calm me. During the times we travelled through different areas of Australia, there were always signs that she was with us, protecting us.
During one of these times we were extremely tired and my friend said she could not go one more foot we should stop at the next motel. I did not like the look of it and asked her to go to the next one which was about a block away. I paid the bill and looked at the receipt and was amazed to see the name on it, which I will reveal a little later.
Then we travelled down the Great Ocean Road, from Adelaid to Melbourne, this road to say the least is extremely treacherous in parts and as we started to emerge from there into a bit safer areas, I started to watch the clouds a little more closely as I truly love clouds. To the left of me and all the way home which was still about two hours there was a beautiful cloud in the sky in the shape of angel, it stayed with us all the way home.
This young girl, who died way to early, her name was Theresa, my confirmation name just happened to be Theresa also. Now returning to the motel we stayed at, the owners names were Robert and Theresa Greene.
During Theresa's time in school the kids called her TreesRGreen. Though I never got the opportunity to meet this lovely young woman, she truly and very deeply touched me in many ways. My screen name came from this young woman whom I honour and use her name proudly -- TreesRGreen78, the 78 is for my birthday, July 8th.

JLand Photo Shoot #126 - Black & White

TREES WHEN SHE COULD NOT WALK
When I heard about the JLand Photo Shoot, and it was a black and white photo, my mind went back many years. I have never tried to do this before, as I am still fairly new to Journal Land.
This photo was taken many many years ago, probably most likely around 1946, just after the war. It was taken in a field where one of the local farmers had pony rides for the kids at that time. The original which was taken from me was with my Dad. How he ever managed to get me sitting on this horse by myself still amazes me. I could not have been even a year old.
I treasure this photo. It is now nearly 62 years old and it prompted me to get up my courage finally and enter the photo shoot which I have always wanted to be a part of.
It brings back many fond memories to me of my Dad and where we lived. Now I still only live about 20 minutes from where I was born and where this photo was taken, but oh have the times changed. Big condos stand where I used to go and ride the ponys. Things are very different now, but still as I pass along the streets where I was born, I always have memories which I will always cherish. My son's god parents still live in this area so we do still visit and recount the memories of growing up in a place I will always cherish.

Once again my dear little friend Malachi needs many prayers. He was rushed to the Baltimore Maryland University Hospital, with some liquid coming out of his trachea and is in the trauma unit there. This little boy as you all know from reading my journal is so very dear to my heart and has been through so much is his 3 young years. Your prayers for him and his family would be much appreciated.
Thank you all so very much.

AGAIN MY LITTLE FRIEND NEEDS YOUR PRAYERS

Again my dear friends in Journal Land, this brave little man needs your prayers.
Below is an excerpt from Malachi's journal. I have permission from Malachi's Mom to post entries about Malachi as she would like everyone who can to pray for him. I thank you all from my heart for your prayers, and good wishes.
Sunday, July 8, 2007 11:22 PM CDT
I would like to start off by thanking everyone who is praying for MALACHI. HIs father and I are very greatful. GOD has blessed me with MALACHI. I am so proud to be his mother. He has got such a tremendous will to live. And still smiles even when he is getting numerous of needles. My son is living breathing proof the power of prayer.
Today Malachi was started on a drug called INTERFERON ALPHA 2B. It is used in cancer patients.so yes he is getting a form of chemo. NO he does not cancer, but the doctors feel it may help slow down or dasinagrate the growth of collateral vessels and the himangyoma( you might have seen someone with what looks like a strawberry on there skin thats what he has on his heart)The doctors have never seen a hemangyoma on the heart before so they are hoping this works. And they are not sure if that was the cause of his bleeding. The treatment may cause him to get flu symptoms. so pray he dont.
The Doctors are calling and sending data to a vascular malformation clinic in boston to hopefully see if they have any inpute that can help in malachi's care. The hemotology dept. at jhh is also involved and suggested boston.
All of what Malachi has been through has made me relize how blessed I am and he is to be born in the great country of ours. And to live in the state of maryland. We basicly have the BEST hospitals in the world in our back yard.I have met people from around the world that have to come to this country to get medical help. GOD has truly blessed the USA.
Please to continue to pray not only for MALACHI but for all the sick children of the world.

Columbia River Gorge, Oregon

Finally i have been able to get these pictures in here after a year of trying. These are of part of my trip to Oregon. The ones you see are of the Columbia River gorge. This is a beautiful area which goes for about 26 miles from the start to the summit. I truly feel at home and at peace in this beautiful state. I hope to add many more pictures and entries of my trip to this wonderful state as time goes on.

Monday's Photo shoot

Have never done anything for the Monday Photo hunt, but saw it today and though I would take a hand at it. The top one is a picture of a turtle laying his eggs at my trailer, these turtles come from the lake which is a very long distance from where my trailer is situated. They laboriously come up the hill and deposit upwards of 75 eggs at a time and then proceed to cover the hole. Unfortunately, almost always the next day the sknunks dig them up and eat the eggs. I though this was a really neat picture as it provided me with a whole new respect for these turtles, it takes them so very long to reach their desired destination they take great pains to pick the exact spot they like.
The second and third pics are of my front garden which I truly love. When I first moved into the home, there was a huge ugly pine bush there and all mud holes. I planted most of what you see from seeds and cuttings. My back garden which I dont have here was all xmas trees and holes. I have 5 gardens now and a vegetable garden as well. I truly love gardening and hope u like the pictures.

PRAYERS URGENTLY NEEDED FOR MY LITTLE FRIEND

For Malachi
Hello my dear friends, below is a message from my dear friend Malachi's Mom, I copied it as it is far easier for this explanation than for me to try and explain it. This little boy needs many prayers, and I am asking you all to again pray for this brave little boy who has been through so very much in his lifetime.
Well we are back in the hospital, this time we are in washington DC. He started to bleed again they did another catherzation and coiled off only 1 vessel. But they found something else. they found a cluster of vessels around and growing up one of his arotas.they called it a mangeoma probaly spelled wrong they explained it to me as when you see someone who looks like they have a strawberry on there skin. the vessels are so small they can not coil them off here. The Heart catherzation Doctor Slack and Doctor Kanter said they have never ever seen somthing like this before so they are going to consult with other doctors arounf the country to see what they can do. Becuase thi could be the source of bleeding or it could be something else. they had mentioned to me that there is a clinic in boston that deal with vacular abnormalitysso we might have to go there. So I need all my prayer warriors to do some serious praying and ask everyone you know to do the same. I trust god to bring us through this. becuase IF HE BRINGS YOU TO IT HE CAN BRING YOU THROUGH IT.
melissa & malachi
Again thank you all for your prayers and thoughts for this very valiant little boy.
Sincerely,
Trees

Surprise
I have no idea what happened to my pics but they are moving like a video. The won about adventures in Oregon entry, I truly love it. I could not put them on here no matter how hard i tried into the text now is like a movie. I know many dont like what has happened but the oregeon entry with the pics was really nice the way they changed it.
The rest of it I am not sure. I gave up on my journal as I could not get the pics on and what i truly wanted was to show my pics of my trip and talk about the coast and the spectacular sites.

God bless you all and thank you. I write about this little boy, and I realize I dont much write in my journal as I have severe fibro and often times I am very tired. This little boy though is my inspiration and I think the world of him. All prayers are greatly appreciated for him.
