JLand Photo Shoot #126 - Black & White
TREES WHEN SHE COULD NOT WALK
When I heard about the JLand Photo Shoot, and it was a black and white photo, my mind went back many years. I have never tried to do this before, as I am still fairly new to Journal Land.
This photo was taken many many years ago, probably most likely around 1946, just after the war. It was taken in a field where one of the local farmers had pony rides for the kids at that time. The original which was taken from me was with my Dad. How he ever managed to get me sitting on this horse by myself still amazes me. I could not have been even a year old.
I treasure this photo. It is now nearly 62 years old and it prompted me to get up my courage finally and enter the photo shoot which I have always wanted to be a part of.
It brings back many fond memories to me of my Dad and where we lived. Now I still only live about 20 minutes from where I was born and where this photo was taken, but oh have the times changed. Big condos stand where I used to go and ride the ponys. Things are very different now, but still as I pass along the streets where I was born, I always have memories which I will always cherish. My son's god parents still live in this area so we do still visit and recount the memories of growing up in a place I will always cherish.

You were absolutely adorable! How did he get you up there? I would have been scared to death if my Dad tried to do that to me, LOL!
