Spring-time, big fun! Students, grown-ups, seniors...everyone is gearing up for the spring-break. So, why take the back seat! I can't take this excitement anymore. Did, I tell you that I booked a trip to Zurich?? Yes, we're skiing the Swiss Alps. My friends booked a trip for the four of us. And boy, we made it cheap! Has anyone heard about Cheapoair?? With $216 each for a round trip, I think we snatched a good deal. I'm not sure though. But they've got some real basement bargain airfares. You, too, can check this out and let me know what do you think.

Before, I swishhh down the slopes, I'd like to share a few super tips on our favorite ski gear.

What is the Flex Factor??

You know, most skiis are not made same. Not because they want to spice it up. It's actually necessary because there's a wide variety in people's tastes. Some ski on fresh powder, others on hardpack. Some go for cross-country, while others love downhill. Bunny slopes, major moghuls...there are so many. What's your taste by the way? FYI, I'm a hardpack downhill guy. That's why I prefer the stiffer flex, which gives me an edge on float, turning and overall stability. Follow me if you're into my passion. Else, you can always choose from a gazillion options available at the store.

Can my gloves give me an edge?

Of course! A lot depends on the gloves that we choose. After all, it's a second skin for us. Imagine tackling a rugged and jagged course. How difficult it is to hold on to your ski poles! We need a tight grip. If the gloves doesn't fit you well, that tight grip is a far cry.

Did you ever feel your hands going chilly at times? I did! Yes. Because, sometimes I rarely cared about warmth. I'd plan a last minute getaway and grab whatever comes my way. But this time I don't want to take a chance. You know that different gloves use different insulation methods. So, keep scouring for the best match! Man, I did find a good pair:)

Equally important is the sensation. Yes, the best ski gloves always give you a sensation as if it's your second skin. That is, when you hold your poles, you must feel as if you have no gloves at all!

There are so many other factors that I want to share here. I'm coming back soon. So, stay tuned!
