"Think Tank" --Suggestions, please.

:-)    Hi Carolyn,
"Be wrathful, yet do not sin..."  .. let the sun not set on you in a provoked state."
~ [Ephesians 4: 26-27]
This means that Jesus was big time angry too and yet He was perfect--and did not sin!  And we too have the right to be angry when humans break God honoring laws and steal our freedoms in this country.  Perversion is the norm now days in America-- in matters of law and morality-- and I believe that both political parties are at fault.
But some one else in my life told me to 'pick my battles well.'   Other wise people will thing that we are 'rebels with out a cause' or just 'cranks.'   Why don't we concentrate on slimming down to just a few crusades.   That will be very hard for me ... LOL.
The way I and my pastor see it-- all things will be straightened out when the 'Kingdom of God' arrives on earth again -when Jesus shortly returns.   Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed in God's own time and place, etc.   I think that our first mission in obedience to God's command to ALL real Christians,  should be showing and leading as many people the way to salvation via Jesus Christ now. [1 Timothy 2: 3-4].  Yes we continue to vote our conscience for good laws and those who champion our American [1,2,3 Amendments] Freedoms of Speech and  Free Worship, Right to Bear Arms,  like Liberty Council and WVCY- Christian Radio and TV program suggestions, but there is only so much time in a 24 hour day and I think that we should make wise investments of our time, effort and treasure.   I don't know exactly how to do this-- so maybe we can put our heads together and form our own 'think tank.' Tell me what you think, please.  I like your feedback.
So happy to be your trusted friend.

Cordially,

Sorry for my language Tom, but I couldn't care less if every single one of these people wanted to vote for B Hussein Obama!  This is a load of crap!  These people above ANYONE should be allowed  to vote without restriction!  Where are all the so called right to vote, get out the vote crowd in all this?  I'm so sick and tired of hearing people complain about things such as ID requirements and hanging chads-I find this really disgusting! Seems like there is more worries about the "rights" of terrorists and illegals than the basic right of our vets to vote! I pray that something will happen here- its disgusting and needs to change NOW.  God Bless you Tom- I hope more people hear about this one!  Thank you for posting it.  Carolyn

VA denies Veterans the basic right to VOTE !

FYI: I'm not sharing this to defend any political party or even the insurance company that published the video that is included at the end but rather to defend the Veterans that are cheated out of the right to do the very thing they fought for....I can't even imagine denying Veterans this basic right!

http://www.nhregister.com/site/news.cfm?newsid=19861228&BRD=1281&PAG=461&dept_id=635049&rfi=6

July 19, 2008 - To participate in voter registration at the Veterans Affairs medical center in West Haven, Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz would have to promise not to encourage anyone to vote and to limit registration to inpatients or residents who approached her.

"The VA's convoluted constraints and restrictions on registration, and complete ban on voter education, plainly violate democratic rights — the very rights that these veterans fought and sacrificed to preserve and protect," state Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said Friday.

In Round 3 of the battle between the VA and Bysiewicz's efforts to hold registration drives at federal veteran facilities, both she and Blumenthal Friday gave James Peake, U.S. secretary of veterans affairs, until Aug. 1 to change the rules or face a possible suit by Connecticut.

Bysiewicz is one of 20 secretaries of the state who have urged Peake to reverse a ruling he issued in May which puts shelters, hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers administered by the VA off limits to nonpartisan voter registration drives.

Peake said such drives would violate the Hatch Act, which restricts partisan political activity by federal workers.

For years, however, voter registration was left up to VA managers, and Roger Johnson, director of VA Connecticut Healthcare Systems, agreed with Blumenthal when the issue was first broached last month in West Haven that the Hatch Act referred to workers, not patients.

At the time, Johnson predicted Bysiewicz's request to run an education program demonstrating use of the new state voting machines would not be a problem, and he was just waiting to hear from Peake.

After Peake's recent letter to the state officials, however, Johnson said such a demonstration was not necessary, as the only veterans who would be affected are in-patients and residents who would likely use absentee ballots.

Johnson said the medical center in West Haven will notify all in-patients and residents that they will provide volunteers to help them register to vote, if they so desire. He said they will hold another "blitz" close to the last day of regular voter registration, and on Election Day.

Off-limits to registration are out-patients, staff, visitors and the community.

"To respect constitutional rights, the VA should go back to boot camp. Where veterans deserve a clear path to the voting booth, the VA has laid a maze and minefield of regulatory barricades and booby traps," Blumenthal said.

He said the restrictions "chill or discourage valid fundamental constitutional rights," and Bysiewicz could not agree to the rules set up for volunteers who wish to help the patients register.

At the state's facility for veterans at Rocky Hill, Blumenthal said registrations are held several times a year. He said it appears that the only reason for the "misguided federal policy," is an attempt at voter suppression.

Three blunt questions for VA:

(via http://www.veteransforcommonsense.org/)

1. What effort did VA make to check with local and state election officials to address the voting needs of our veterans?

2. What effort did VA make to check with widely respected non-partisan non-profits?

3. What kind of disgraceful message is VA sending to our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan when our wounded, injured, ill, and homeless veterans are blocked from voting during war?

Let’s put this poignant issue into perspective by watching this important video about the importance of voting.

Hearing Hab ich das Recht - The Honeycombs

Looking forward to the Racine County Fair!

According to the Channel 4 News/ TV- weather report, this week is supposed to be the hottest Summer week of the year.   But is will only be in the mid-high 70's and not so humid!   We will surely attend the Racine County Fair in Union Grove, WI., where we live.  This was always the sweet/ sour time we kids had to go back to school and begin football practice.   And harvest time on the farm was drawing near too.  It was a good time on the farm and County Fair too, as I entered my beef cattle in the 4-H, and also participated in the tractor pulling contest.  That was a 'rite of passage' just like joining the Army in the Schuckman clan.   It was a critical part on our resume.   I figured that it was dumb to invest all the time and money in college, with the possibility of getting killed in war shortly after.   Now I think I may have been wrong in my thinking.   I wanted OCS very bad, but things didn't happen that way.   I ended up in Aviation-- and the Army usually does what it wants and gets away with it.  The good part is:   I made it home alive after two tours of duty!   I think that I am finally putting all this in prospective, but it's like dealing with cancer or diabetes--  you can't cure it, but you may put it in remission.   Just my humble opinion.   And as terrible as war is, I think that it's more scary now than when I was in battle!   Because... at least we had some sort of control over our destiny if we were sharp with good commanders and crew members fighting together with the 'right stuff', helicopters, and big guns/ fire power.   Now days after turkeys like Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton cutting the heart and soul out of our military with thousands of equipment are rusting and in-op for lack of repair.  Not having enough body and Hummer Armour to protect the troops in battle.  Not being aggressive enough to support the troops in action and treating them badly in cases of disgraceful VA policy and neglect and living conditions at VA hospitals.   Things have not changed all that much since I got out in 30 March 70.   It just a sign of the times -- the slippery slopes and end times before Jesus comes back to call up his true servants-- and then deal with all the heathen unbelievers and hypocrites.   This is my main priority and focal point as I grow older.   If only I could be more physically active so as to have a larger part/ participation in spreading the Word of God before the 'doors of the Ark close.'
My wife, Sharon, is looking forward to her next [2nd] helicopter ride at the County Fair, and I love to see the farm animals and exhibits and people!

Have a great day!

Hi Tom,

Of course I will keep in touch via e-mail and hopefully the occasional phone call.  Please do feel free to share my e-mail with family.  Adam and the rest of us can use all the prayers people can manage to send our way.  I got an e-mail that the first PRE- deployment meeting will be this week.  Of course I can't run down to Ft. Bragg for a meeting but the leader is wonderful about keeping me updated by e-mail and I can call her whenever I want.  Still, getting that e-mail about getting ready for deployment made my stomach start doing flip flops.

Free Law Advice for Veterans!

Clinic Offers Free Law Advice for Vets

A handful of veterans showed up at an Ocean View VFW post Wednesday for free legal advice on applying for disability payments and appealing federal government benefit rulings.

It was a far quieter reception than Project Salute sometimes gets.

When the 31-foot, custom-made RV staffed with students and professors from the University of Detroit Mercy law school kicked off its national tour in San Antonio in February, 200 veterans came out for advice. In Jacksonville, Fla., 400 people showed up, said Mark Gordon, the law school's dean.

Learn more about military legal matters.

The mobile law office will be in Ocean View again today. It offers free legal assistance on the spot to low-income veterans and refers some cases to private attorneys who agree to represent clients for free.

Joon Sung, a Detroit Mercy visiting professor who spoke to a few veterans Wednesday, said a typical application for disabled veterans benefits is about 25 pages long, including five pages of specific instructions in small type.

"It's difficult for the average person to follow," Sung said. "I think the most important thing I can recommend is to seek assistance."

Seeking help is even more important when a veteran decides to appeal the denial of a claim or disagrees with a disability rating, Sung said. Those cases sometimes take years to resolve. "It's disheartening, because the process has made veterans give up on their claims," Sung said. "The process shouldn't be that difficult. It shouldn't be that time-consuming."

Jon LaPoint regularly stops at VFW Post 3160 in Ocean View to catch up with friends. He came this time for advice.

LaPoint spent 10 years in the Navy as a boiler technician, working deep inside ships and serving in the first Persian Gulf War. Years of opening and shutting valves took a toll on his right elbow, he said, and he was treated for tendi nitis while in the Navy.

The 47-year-old Norfolk man can't figure out why his claim for partial disability because of tendi nitis was denied. He does know why his claim for hearing loss, which he filed on his own, was turned down: The ringing in his ears he described isn't technically hearing loss by Veterans Affairs standards. It's called tinnitus, a condition that must be claimed as such.

LaPoint now works as a civilian at Norfolk Naval Station and earns too much money for Project Salute to formally take his case. But Sung was happy to offer advice that LaPoint intends to follow, including getting records from his private doctor added to his VA case file, having his doctor assess his various ailments in writing, and requesting a regional board hearing on his case.

"You feel like you're at war with them," LaPoint said. "I've already been through one war; I don't want to go through another one."

Claims cases can take months or years to resolve, so Gordon, the law school dean, can't yet measure how much money the project has put in veterans' pockets.

"I'm sure it's hundreds of thousands of dollars, at least," he said. He knows of one man from Texas who developed diabetes after serving in Vietnam, where he was exposed to Agent Orange. (The herbicide is considered a presumptive cause of diabetes.)

The veteran, who had been denied disability benefits, developed complications from the diabetes and eventually required an amputation. After Project Salute's help, Gordon said, the man was awarded more than $90,000 in retroactive benefits.

Gordon said he doesn't want to mislead veterans - resolving disputes can take years.

"What has touched me is how grateful they are to us and our students," Gordon said. "I've had a number say to me, 'Even if this doesn't succeed, I'm just so happy someone is helping us.' "

Feeling Cynical

A letter to my friend, Dick, in Honalulu.

Dear Dick,
I get so depressed and pissed off when another one of  my buddies/ friends get AGENT ORANGE or a service-related disease / problem!
:     I am so sorry about your skin cancer from Agent Orange, bro. Dick.    Here is what I have found / experienced at the VA in my 40 years of seeking help and treatment:  They have the 'good ole boys system' where they just send you on a wild goose chase and pass you off to all the different offices/ docs in hopes that you will just get frustrated and quit/ leave.  For many simple [normal] Vets-- this is too much and they leave for good... so the VA 'saves the money' by screwing another disable Veteran.   And records show that some of the VA staff have been getting a bonus $$$ for cheating us out of our rightful benefits!  In reality, we have to do our [serious] home work, and research the problem we have and learn it better than the 'doctor' so we know how to state our case correctly when the time comes.   Some times we need a patient's advocate or some other expert to help us navigate the 'system.'   Personally, I did what the VA hates-- I went to a civilian doctor who liked/ cared for me and actually served as a doctor in Vietnam!  He pulled the right strings and used the right words for my PTSD case.   But I still have to fight for the rest of my body-- which after a full, long, productive life-- is breaking down way too fast.    I would rather be a strong, active man to savor the fullness of life after sweating blood working for some greedy corporation, Chrysler, etc., that continues to take away our benefits and health care irregardless of our Union Contract.   Oh, I know that I am more lucky and blessed than most people in the world-- but I can never let my guard down, sleep well,  trust anything nor anybody but God and the Bible.
On the bright side, our garden is growing well and I still love to ride my super bike, GoldWing, every sunny day
:-D  !   I have enough money to fill up all 3 vehicles and pay my bills on time [of course], and we cook out in the back yard often on our new gas grill.
As for the VA hospitals / system, they know how to 'push your buttons' and try to anger you so you will lose your temper and commit some sort of 'disorderly conduct' so that they will put a mark by your name/ records and pigeon hole you forever as a trouble maker.  I don't think they did that to me--as I know how to insult the hell out of them with 'correct, nice' words..lol.  If you are at the end of your rope, contact a Congressman, Senator or higher up.   The most feared thing for the VA is:  publicity and news media.  As for me, I blog about them and use names, and then pass that on to the local news media.    I know that the VA wishes I would croak, dry up and blow away.  I love to teach as many disabled Vets all that I know so they can fight and win their rights, and leave that 'legacy' to others who will fight after I am gone.   And the VA/ Gov't is screwing the NEW Iraq war Vets, etc. all over again--just like us!!   Bottom line, you have to do your home work, keep some written records, diary/ journal and take names, times and places!  I firmly believe that I have Agent Orange on both shins up to the knees.   I was stationed in 3rd Corps area-- Vietnam: 68-70, where the big bulk of Agent Orange was dumped-- 'the Iron Triangle' area.   I believe that the Infantry had it much worse than helicopter crew members like me... but we still got a good dose walking in the country side and the down draft of our main rotor blades kicked up all the dust and chemicals and I ate the Vietnamese' food to boot.  We were all poisoned by our own government, IMHO, and the Gov't and VA system couldn't care less.   The Dems especially want to fund their goofy entitlements programs for the poor who never worked-- not take care of old Disabled Veterans ... LOL!
Please keep me informed of your progress.

Your good friend, and comrade in arms,
Tom

Feeling Chillin'

Shopping for a scouter.

We went to Kenosha this morning to check out 'Bella'- a store that sells power chairs, scouters, etc., for the disabled.  And we were sorely disappointed that they didn't even have the model in that store, but they would not even ship it up here from PA so we could first try it out before we put the money down!!    They also would NOT even accept our Chrysler Humana Insurance because they won't pay out the money for the chair/ vehicle/ scouter.   Now we were looking to pay for the chair out of pocket and they wanted to put us thru a high financial company that has huge compound interest gouging policy/ back ground.
So I guess I will have to walk with a cane at the Racine County Fair again this year, and that greatly interferes with the time frame and quality of our Fair attendance as my knees, feet and back go bad quickly.   But we will still have the money for Sharon's helicopter ride-- she just loves that experience!
We were just so tired of fighting with the Milwaukee VA Hosp., even as we had a doctor's script for a power chair for me... that we thought we ought to take matters in to our own hands.   Most of the time we would have to fight with the VA for YEARS to get something that rightfully is ours-- quality of life and some modicum of health.   And being a Chrysler retiree, they are taking away our health benefits more every contract time as much as they can-- so that our Health Insurance is not so good anymore.    Go figure:  you work hard all your life and BELIEVE that the Company will honor their end of the contractual agreement-- but then when times get hard they renege on their promises EVERY TIME!    I have only been retired since 2003 and have seen this happen too often.   This subject should be on the minds of young people, age 19 - 21 when they look for a job.   If they get injured on or off the job-- how long do they have before they loose their home and savings?   It's good to ask advice from the older men in the  church/ congregation, and the pastor.

How many 'Trust in the Lord ?'

When I was young I felt invincible !   I survived countless injuries and worked a full life and saved / invested big money.   But even that can blow away in the wind if you meet the wrong lady... lol.   We can cry, "IF WE WERE ONLY TRAINED IN SCHOOL AND BY OUR PARENTS...!!     But as for myself, I didn't get to find the Lord and other important head knowledge  until 1998, and it still didn't sink in all the way for a few years to get my mind and heart straight.    We all grow to spiritual. Christian maturity in different stages / lengths of time, or some pastor rushed us into baptism too fast before we understood everything, IMHO.   I will be the first one to admit that I don't have EVERYTHING figured out -- but I know for sure that I am on the right track, and have learned to be thankful and happy for what I have NOW!     'Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.'
I hope that I can remember to carve in wood the important scripture, Eph. 4:26 , 'Be angry but do not sin,  Do not let the sun go down with you in an angry state, nor leave room for the devil.'  [paraphrased].   I have always thought that was a good one for married couples... lol.   Don't go to bed angry with each other !    That only opens the door to the devil to come in and make things worse.   Don't I know that truth... lol.    Again, this wise counsel is directed to Christians!   The devil doesn't worry too much about unbelievers-- as he already has them under his thumb.    We Christians are his real prize, and he sets all kinds of traps /snares to drag us away from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Otherwise, our veggie garden is doing great and it looks like the bees are doing their jobs well also.   We will have some pix to post soon.
Many thanks to my wife who checks and fills the proper air into our vehicle tires to save more gasoline.  I like the air pressure to be ONE POUND OVER -- to get better gas mileage.   But we have also cut down on the trips we make to the store and other places.    You know that the devil wants us to cut down on our trips to church, right?   Remember, it's all about priorities in life.

Veterans Medical Claims denied to reduce backlong numbers.

If you TAKE THE TIME to read the 'talking points' and careful research in the links,  you will have to agree with us Combat Veterans about our ill treatment, and rough, discourteous, rude behavior from the VA system [hospitals, etc., and Gov't] that we must go thru every time we deal with those liars!

They hope that we would just curl up and die, so this issue  of Agent Orange would die with us !!    And yes, our Vietnam Vets are dropping like flies these days.   Now you all know why we have little trust or respect for the VA.   Liars have a destiny with hell.

Veterans Medical Claims denied to reduce backlog numbers.

http://www.kaisernetwork.org/daily_reports/rep_index.cfm?DR_ID=53327

Folks I have no words to describe my disgust tonight at this; although we have known this has gone on for decades now.

While the VA pompous assholes tell congress what a great job they are doing in getting claims down.

Veterans have to fight congress, the IOM, the DoD, and the VA and their contractors and are given little if any tools to do so in any forum.

I wonder how many of those serving now realize the worst enemy is not the one in front of them but our own government and its politicians that let this go on decade after decade.  Maybe while they are home for break we all ought to pay them a visit and tell them to their face this is no longer acceptable and that they are now held accountable as lawmakers.

Round 1 link draft at: http://www.2ndbattalion94thartillery.com/Chas/TalkingPoints.htm

20 more years of deceit to document on this as I get time and get ready.

Hearing If the Gov't takes away our no-tax status -- I will STILL support our church!

But most so-called "Christian churches" don't have the guts to do this, IMHO.

July 17, 2008 A Strategic Offense - Election Sermons Pastor Matt Trewhella / The Covenant News:
Every year, evil organizations like People for The American Way, and others, send out hundreds of thousands of letters trying to intimidate churches into silence when it comes to "political issues" because of their 501(C)(3) status. Most of what they say in their letters are lies. The Alliance Defense Fund has come up with what I consider a strategic offensive to counter these bogus letters from these Christ-hating organizations. They are calling on pastors everywhere to preach an election sermon on September 28th this year. If the church is attacked by the IRS, ADF will defend the church! This is strategic for two reasons: First, it will send a message to pastors everywhere that these intimidating letters are lies. Second, hopefully many pastors will preach an election sermon for their first time. And third, hopefully it will cause conversation in churches and amongst Christians across this nation. Hearing By  Jan Markell.

"The World is Spinning Our of Control!"

THE WORLD IS SPINNING OUT OF CONTROL!
                           By Jan Markell

I recently saw a newspaper headline stating that, "Everything is spinning out of control."  The underlying sentiment seemed to be that we should pin the tail on the worst issues going on in the world today. Quite frankly, there may not be enough tails!

Then to add to the distress, The New York Times printed an article,
"Are you ready for the next disaster?" All natural disasters in the last 6 to 12 months have been preceded with headlines such as "unprecedented" or "record-setting."

This may sound depressing but keep reading. It isn't just gloom and doom.

The points are accurate that prices are skyrocketing and home values are abysmal. Airline costs, college tuition, and health care are becoming unaffordable.

Both U.S. presidential candidates want to add a sense of order to all of this and have their own solutions. No one has the slightest idea if any of their suggestions will make things better or worse and if God is maneuvering the world for His greater purposes, what world leaders do or say matters very little.

We live in an age of risk assessment and risk analysis, when doomsday scenarios have become daily anxieties, and planning for improbable but world-changing events has become a focus of disaster policy. Now with renewed jitters about a post-election terrorist attack, government officials are urging us to plan for the next catastrophe. Nobody said it would be easy to be born for such a time as this!

Maybe what the 21st century is all about is the great unraveling of some things long taken for granted.

The Bible indicates that right before the Lord's return many things will spin out of control. Most scoff at such suggestions as predicted in II Peter.
And it does not help to have church pulpits totally silent on issues that relate to the predicted "end-times" and some of the things that will unfold in those days.

I maintain the unbelieving world cannot connect the dots when it comes to much of this.  They will blame it on man-made global warming, whoever is in the White House, Rush Limbaugh, and a host of other  issues.
It is difficult, if not impossible, for the unsaved world to arrive at a satisfactory answer to life's great mysteries.  While this is not a suggestion that the unsaved world has no hope, they surely do not have the "blessed hope" (Titus 2:13).

So the next time you hear the suggestion that the sky is falling, tell them that, no, the sky will some day open up for the King of kings to appear in the clouds and call forth His church.  Some of the calamities occurring are reminding us that the hour is late and the door of the Ark may close. We have little time to waste.

If you are a part of a church that is sleeping at the wheel, move on. You will likely not hear of the Lord's glorious returning in 95% of the churches today. It does not encourage church growth they will tell you. Others will say it is divisive or impractical for this generation.

As Dr. David Reagan,
one of our "Understanding the Times" conference speakers in 2006, 2007, and 2008 says, "Although prophecy constitutes almost one-third of the Bible, its importance is constantly downplayed by those who dismiss it as having no practical significance or by those who object to it on the grounds that it is a 'fad' that takes people's eyes off Jesus.

"Revelation 19:10 says that 'the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.'   Thus, if prophecy is properly taught, there is no reason for it to divert anyone's attention away from Jesus.  In fact, it should serve to emphasize the centrality of Jesus.

Reagan asks, "Is prophecy practical?  Consider that all the New Testament writers testify to the fact that the study of prophecy will motivate holy living.  What could be more practical than that?"

He concludes, "Prophecy does not have to be faddish, other-worldly, or impractical if taught properly.  Nor does it have to be a playground for fanatics.  It can and should be green pastures for disciples.

"God's prophetic Word is food for our spiritual growth.  We need to take it off the shelf.  We need to open it up and feast upon it, and we need to do so with believing
hearts."

Somebody get excited. The King is coming!

A funny thing happened at the Lake Michigan yesterday...   A friend at church who cannot read, and I were sitting down by the scenic lake front of Michigan by the yacht club and I was instructing him how to read and learn to get his drivers license.   Along came a guy who worked with me at Chrysler having just retired recently named  Gary, stopped to talk with me, as he was walking his dog.   He said that things at the Chrysler plant in Kenosha were getting so bad with BS ,etc., and hard to live with rules and bad bosses.   The company wanted to hire about 20 new young people [and pay them sub standard wages] age 19, and 17 of them flunked the pee test [for drugs in their system] !   Besides other bizarre and sour news he said that one of my old, useless bone head supervisors, Mike N., got hooked on pain meds and began shaking down guys on the assembly line for pain drugs and one day he was just too drunk to stand up and some how dropped his drawers and exposed himself to the rank and file!   So all the women on that line signed a petition calling for serious action-- and the Company fired his black ass.. LOL    Woo Woo!  He used to try and give me a hard time the last 2 years that I worked there building engines, before I retired.    He pulled me off my regular job illegally, so I did something to get the whole plant's attention and got him into serious trouble.   After that, I found out that I already had over 30.5 years seniority and decided to retire immediately.   'What goes around --comes around.'   After I heard all this yesterday I came home and celebrated!  'Massive success is the best revenge!'
But now, you understand, I took positive legal action that time and used my Union Rep. to fight for me-- instead of punching the foreman in the nose or cursing him.   See Eph. 4:26...  'Be wrathful--yet do not sin.  Don't let the sun go down  with you in a provoked state.'  Jesus got angry--yet He did not sin.  It's just a trick to 'channel' our  [my] anger so it does not destroy us-- or others, at least for me... lol.   If we do the right thing and follow the Bible and Jesus Christ--but also educate our selves as to the law or contract-- usually we will come out of dire straits without being burned.   It's so easy for a big guy like me to take things into my own hands and deal out punishment on the spot.  The Holy Spirit and 'drawing nigh [near] to God' has been the trick [reality] for me.  Proverbs 3:5, says to "Trust in the Lord" ... not Tom's big arms.  It took many years to apply that simple command.   So now, when I see that other new people at church  have trouble doing what is right [quickly]-- I remember that I wasn't always  "quick" either.    The only thing is that the Lord has  given me many years to  whip myself in shape and change my ways for the better--with the help of the Holy Spirit and much bible study.   But time races on and the world is getting worse, more dangerous and economically unstable, big banks going under, people losing their houses and income  --- and God has set His time table for action with His Son, Jesus, ready to ride with all His angels!   Will we all be ready to meet Him ?
I told Gary that we needed to have breakfast together some time soon so I could learn more about Chrysler  news after I left in 2003, and gave him my business card.    He said that things were getting to be a real pressure cooker at Chrysler, and more work load was being put on the workers.  What's new.. lol?   And the retirees are having to make a choice now in accepting cuts in our health care programs.  In other words-- the contract that the Company and Union agreed on is worth much.    They have no honor!  And the Union sits by with out  protecting /representing the membership... from what I understand / been told.   And it's not beyond the realm of possibility that our own Chrysler pensions could be lost thru incompetence, poor stewardship, poor investments and letting the Company stick their greedy hands in our "lock box."   Nothing is sacred and nothing is totally secure anymore.   And to think that I once was licensed to market top, quality Mutual Funds, with PFS- Smith Brney Investments some 12 years ago... ~!   Now all I am into is a Smith Barney Money Market... lol.     Buy a good shotgun, a secure home safe with enough cash in it, and a few pieces of Silver.  When the Lefty Libby Dems finally take away our 2nd Amendment Rights-- we will be at the mercy of the 'wolves at the door.'   But maybe the real Christians will already be 'raptured up' by that time!   In that case, the  Lefty Dems and unbelievers will be 'Left Behind.'
I am so glad that I retired when I did !   PTL!
