This is such a grand, encouraging post!

I take time to take the time to ponder over things that I read in Scripture. I said it that way because I sometimes hear people say that they want to study the Bible and meditate upon what it tells them, yet they say they do not have the time. I wrote that first line deliberately the way I wanted to write it. Sometimes we have time for many things, but when we try to sit down and make time for the reading and study of God's Word suddenly our time is all gone. Once you determine to sit down and get into God's Word or to pray, there will be phone calls you must take, someone will come to your door, etc. We have to take the time to take the time to get closer to God. As an example, I can sit down to read my Bible and my grandson will want me to play pirates, Batma, or any of a whole group of things he loves. I love him so I set my Bible down and play with him. I have learned that I must have time for my family, I must have time for others, but I must deliberately must set aside time for God and His Word or my life suffers for it, and so does the lives of those that I plant seeds of the Word into. I have set aside a time when I am alone and take the time to read and study the Bible. I also take the time to sit and meditate, mull over, strongly think about what I have read or even heard.

I am blessed by receiving e-mails from many of you that get into God's Word and have something to share with me. It helps feed me and allows me to have something to compare my thoughts to.
Iron sharpens iron. A great thing about God's Word is that it never gets stale. It is always relevant. I feel bad for people that think because the Bible was written so long ago and because we now live in the 21st century, the Bible is somehow less relevant. The Bible is God's Word. Many will say that it was written by uneducated men. Some of the Bible is written by uneducated people and some were highly educated, but that has no bearing here. They wrote down what God impressed on them to write, but allowed them to use their words and personalities.

We must remember that God's Word is a living book. It is fresh and alive today just as it was when it was written. The Bible stays the same. It never changes. LikeGod, it is eternal and never changes, yet it is new or fresh every morning. How so? Simply because God is eternal and change and yet He is new, He is fresh, every morning. Malachi 3:6 tells us that God never changes. Hebrews 13:8 says that the Lord is the same yesterday, to day and for ever the same. But you see, since God is still alive He is still relevant and always will be. God is past, present and future. He is God and as God He is timeless, without time. He is always up to date and is never out of the Loop. We change. Our circumstances change. So every time we open the Word of God it is something within us and our existence that has changed and the Word of God speaks anew to that new and different situation we find ourselves in at that time.

Right now with things going on in the news it came to mind that the Word says that there is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes 1:9,10).

Right now among so many other things that are blasphemy against God, there is a story in the news where James Cameron who directed the largely fictitious film about the Titanic, is now saying that he and others have found the ossuary (bone box) of Jesus Christ. He goes on to say how the inscription on the ossuary mentions Jesus' name, Mary Magdalene's name and the name of their son. First of all just like today, there were other males called Jesus (actually Yeshua). Mr. Cameron is trying to tell us that Jesus is there in Israel in a tomb, in a ossuary. My wife and I both had the same thought. Lets look at Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For their shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, He is in the desert, go not forth: behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth unto the west; so shall the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will be eagles be gathered together.

This applies even to people that want to say they found Jesus' bones. They are just sayingto us and the world...Lo, here is Christ. And doesn't this fit under the name of a ' wonder?' First there books written to dispel Jesus and call Him a myth. Then they writ books that say He is a real person but He died and they carried away His body secretly. Then after a while Dan Brown's book come out which is clearly stolen material of several other books. Mr. Brown says that Mary Magdalene and Jesus were secretly married and blah, blah, blah, the whole world knows his lying blaspheming book and film. Now Cameron says they have Jesus' ossuary which proves He died. But here in Matthew 24 Jesus tells His disciples and all believers down through the years that we are not to believe people that say they have Jesus here or there. At one time years ago I would believe that this meant if a man stepped up and said Jesus was here or there we were not to believe that. That is true. But now at a different time God's Word shows itself to be the living Word that God says it is. It fits our lives year after year. It may be a box of bones but a man is saying: Lo, here is Christ! Mr. Cameron is stepping into the role of a false prophet. There will be believers that will start to doubt the Lord because of this simply because they are not diligent, they are not vigilant and keeping themselves full of the fullness of the Word of God. I have been reading from many various different ministries that more and more Christians are starting to believe that the Bible is not literally the Word of God. They are honestly looking at the Bible as a book of wonderful inspiration and good guidelines, but not as the true authoritative Word of God.

With believers reading, studying and hearing the Scriptures less and less they are ripe for the harvest of the devil and his workers. I will not take any man's word for anything when they contradict something that God tells us in His Word. Whether a man is of a good report or bad, we are to only trust God and His Word. Mr. Cameron had said in interviews that he was happily married. While filming Titanic he had an adulterous affair with someone that worked on the movie. He then divorced his wife and left his family for the other woman. What is there about this cheating, lying, adulterous and fornicating man that I should believe any testimony he may give about anything? Absolutely nothing!

I know thatfor the most part I am, as they used to say - preaching to the choir. But even then we all need to be stirred up now and then. We need to be reminded the importance of staying in the Word. We need to read the Word, study the Word and hear the Word...then we need to share the Word. Everywhere we turn today there is something that is working at making us and keeping us weary. We all have storms in our lives, trials that we are wading through, mountains that are looming and trying to overwhelm us. But we must remember that the Word of God is one of our main weapons of warfare. It all hangs on the Word of God. Almost every day that are things in the news that should cause us to work at getting closer to God. Time is short. We must remember that no matter what we see or hear to the contrary, God is still alive and reigning upon His throne in heavenly places and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is sitting right there on His right hand side waiting for the command of the Father to come back and receive His own. Please share this message with anyone that you may think needs it. There is an outright assault against God and the things of God like never before. Satan knows his days are short. We have more knowledge today about the world at large and see so many things of Bible prophesy coming to pass and yet most of the major pollsters report that of those that call themselves Christians, the numbers are growing all the time for those that do not share anything about their faith in Jesus with anyone around them such as co-workers, neighbors, etc. It seems that the church went from Bible "thumping" to nothing in a short time. Far too many are worried about their image with people than are concerned with how God views them.

Keep looking up brothers and sisters....our redemption draws nigh.
