Inhale
exhale
mocking time
smelling roses
that I despise
I watch the clock
and count the sighs
breathing death
I could not die
the sun is cold
and dreams unkind
bring signs and dread
I can't deny
I squint to see
through tainted eyes
seeing death
I could not die
I eat fresh graves
to sympathize
and choke on words
without goodbye
spit out the tears
they leave behind
tasting death
I could not die
I sleep black sleep
to tranquilize
pound my fists
and try to cry
your platitudes
they stick like knives
when I am dead
and cannot die

This had impact, this was a fist in the gut, but it was also pristine in it's expressive beauty. You made me feel you. Good show.
