How could I let myself be loosed
delirious with rumors of stars
I fly the soft night aching
invoking her cool flood
this sister of the ebon ocean
holding all there is.
Allowing the thin cries of gulls
to disturb the universe
day's genesis steals in
thieving obscurity
bleeding rays across eyes
that do not sleep.
