Todays women...we have come along way.....
One does not have to be a BITCH as so many of our younger women freely express with pride. I mean really, who in their right mind would want to drive around in a car that bares the bumper sticker BITCH and PROUD of it!
Honoring diversity of age, race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, and beliefs. That is a women who can stand tall....
Today's woman knows she is equal. The women in the earlier times wondered and often believed the propaganda foisted upon them by the white, male power structure. Society agreed that women were less than men.
Some History ....more>>>
THE MAGDALENE SISTERS is based on the shocking true story of thousands of women who were rejected by their families and abandoned to the mercy of the Catholic Church. Dismissed as ‘fallen’, these women were institutionalised often having committed no crime other than being poor, orphaned, victims of rape, having a child out of wedlock, or deemed to be in ‘moral danger.’

KLEINMOND, South Africa (Sept. 1) more>>>>
Ehlers said the "rapex" hooks onto the rapist's skin, allowing the victim time to escape and helping to identify perpetrators.
"He will obviously be too pre-occupied at this stage," she told reporters in Kleinmond, a small holiday village about 60 miles east of Cape Town. "I promise you he is going to be too sore. He will go straight to hospital."
The device, made of latex and held firm by shafts of sharp barbs, can only be removed from the man through surgery which will alert hospital staff, and ultimately, the police, she said.

Never fear BIG words...
Never fear big long words. Big long words mean little things. All big things have little names, Such as life and death, peace and war, Or dawn, day, night, hope, love, home. Learn to use little words in a big way. It is hard to do, But they say what you mean. When you don't know what you mean, Use big words-- That often fools little people. -- Arthur Kudner

Buried with a cigerette in his mouth WHA???

A grave from Iron Age more>>
I have always wondered what it is we would look like if we was to be dug up.
Morbid I know but I am curious as to just how damn important it is
WHAT WE WEAR?
When I was younger I worked as a florist in a very small town out west.
Often bringing in the arrangements for a funeral I would catch Paul finishing up dressing the deceased. Once I said " her nylons have a run Paul."
His reply is "who will ever know?"
huh!
I am and always have been very interested in archeological digs.
I even love collecting rocks. Today I bought a rock tumbler/ polisher and plan to do all the great little rocks we deemed special with my grand daughter Meg. What a learning experience for both of us...
