Our collective memories: a safeguard against a fascist state…  A response to "Onward, Christian Soldiers" (by Shirley Bianchi)   

  Your article’s grasp of historical facts and the subsequent interplay of those facts in the history being written today was stunning, thought provoking, and stimulating. Who was it that said “the only thing we learn from history is that no one learns from history”? Currently, our Republics’ survival depends upon our response to the very warnings history has provided us. Let us hope that we have not become a nation of perpetual “arm chair patriots” at this critical point in time. 

 As a disabled veteran with two sons currently serving in the US military, I beg your forbearance with these points of disagreement however, requesting only your consideration of an alternate point of view; in as much  as the affront caused by the observed anti-Christian sentiment, in a rush toward crass generalization while playing the ‘blame game’, has provoked this response. 

 While I agree with one respondent’s point that “religion is the problem”, I wonder if he understands what religion truly is? Let me suggest that religion is what one is left with from the resultant wreckage caused when one’s faith has failed to produce a personal relationship with the Lord. Furthermore, it is through the mask of religion that the rest of society views Biblical Christianity, to the detriment of what the Lord had intended. No where in the scriptures do you find the Lord attempting to affect morality by a takeover of the secular government to facilitate Christian morals through legislation, or by decree. Indeed, it is tantamount to an admission of the abject failure of any message by the messenger when such attempts are made to control public discourse or interaction. 

 Let me also point out that both sides of the political spectrum in this nation have made this very mistake to the detriment of the Bill of Rights. Now that the ‘sacred cows’ of all Americans are being slaughtered before our eyes, we would do well to return to the purity of what our Constitution’s framers had intended as clearly stated in our national Declaration of Independence: “… We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. …” Notice that therein one does not find a limiting clause defining the “pursuit of happiness” as ideally ‘Liberal’, ‘Conservative’, or ‘Christian’.  

 Furthermore, let me humbly suggest a reading of the work’s of Polycarp and Iranaeus to understand what the Lord had intended His Church to be; Iranaeus “Against Heresies” is very instructive as he was a disciple of Polycarp, who was a disciple of the Apostle John. Beyond a doubt, the Anti- Nicene Church Fathers would all be horrified at the mega media perversion the Church of today has become. A careful reading of the Sermon on the Mount shows that Jesus would be also.

 

Seeing, we do not see... A response to "The Rising Tide of Popular Discontent in America" (by Kyle Pominville)  

 Far be it from one such as I to assign nefarious motives to any fellow American at this critical moment in our collective destiny; no, let me humbly suggest that the author of this piece has missed the underlying issue. This is not a battle between “liberals”, “conservatives”, ethnic groups, Christian, non-Christian, or any other of the numerous segments of American society; though for certain the powers that be would love us to continue in such ‘divide and conquer’ pseudo intellectual mindsets, thereby facilitating our total enslavement. Rather, this is a battle between those who would surrender the sovereignty of the United States to the New World Order’s one world government, and the rest of America. The author need only review the stated policy goals of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission, and then reflect on the fact that all the civilian and military leaders of our government are members of these groups, to ascertain the truth of this contention. 

 Indeed, had the true power brokers had their way in the nineties, the Second Amendment would have been gutted and we would already be slaves. The day is too far spent for us to continue to fight the ‘straw men’ of “liberal” or “conservative”; we must stand together as Americans to save our Republic, or be chained together as slaves. Remember: “He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from oppression; for if he violates this duty, he establishes a precedent that will reach to himself.” Thomas Paine

 

The Continuing American Political Newspeak. A response to "Sad Day? How About a Sad Six-and-a-Half Years" (by Dave Lindorff)  

  Awe, the continuing chronicles of the “INGSOC” leaders of America; be they Democrat, Republican, or whatever, and the targeted “Eastasia” boogeyman of the moment. As I said in my blog: we are being kept in willful darkness playing the Manchurian Candidate’s game of the Republican or Democratic fantasy of real elections – all the while mindlessly busy arranging the chairs and furniture on the Titanic. Indeed, “we have met the enemy, and he is us!” 

 It appears however that many of ‘We the People’ are beginning to awake to the lies of the corporate written Newspeak of our political leaders, and refusing to tow the company line. All are beginning to refute the New World Order’s logic for America’s continued “foreign entanglement” in wars for the security of international corporations. Furthermore, to our credit, we have refused the Neoconservative’s call for a NAZI like American Empire. 

 While agreeing with many of the insightful points of the Author, his counter point of the hopelessness of armed resistance should be qualified with a call to remember the “Three boxes in American politics”: the soap box, the ballot box, and the cartridge box. The opening shots in the Second American Revolution have already been fired at those that Newspeak was successful at marginalizing. The second “Shot Heard Around the World” will soon come in a “Night of the Long Knives”when outspoken political dissidents are rounded up for the crime of supporting terrorism with their “speech”. The evil empire can only win if good men stand idle and do nothing.

The Rise of the Evil Empire


          

 

It has become sort of a perverse past time for me to peruse left of center blogs and Internet news postings, such as OpEdNews. There was a time that such would have been considered apostasy for me; the current political crisis has wrought strange alliances however. None too soon - for we MUST have unity for the sake of our nation.

 

It does give no small pleasure though, to see liberals decry legislating from the Judicial branch; the destruction of our Constitution by Presidential decree, and the growing realization among my liberal brethren that the Second Amendment is NOT about duck hunting. Why, there is even an acknowledgement among some that those dead white men, our nation’s fore-fathers, were wise to empower the people to form independent militias. That is truly amazing!

 

For the part of those of us formally considered ‘right of center’, it can clearly be understood now that when we called for the limiting of the rights of those we disagreed with, our rights became fair game too. Also to our shame, we had forgotten that this nation is a nation of immigrants; the very life’s blood that made us great. Indeed, I have seen that it is the light of liberty in the hearts of those immigrants, which is burning the brightest in the dark times this nation now faces.

 

While there is plenty of blame and finger pointing that could be done from both sides, is it not time to come together with one voice to speak against the evil that confronts all of us? As has been said: “If we do not hang together, we shall certainly hang separately.” At  this point in time we can ill afford to have any label but “American.” May God have mercy on us if we forget this now, the enemies of freedom will not.

 

For the most part though, it is we of the Church within this nation that have failed. We have forgotten that our Lord never condemned the sinners, just the sin. Further, that we are the hands of God on the earth, not some government program; that to be known as a Christian was to be known for your love. We have instead proclaimed by the bumper stickers on our cars, and the beautiful buildings we hide in on Sundays, what we do not practice the rest of the week.

 

Furthermore, I have heard it said that Christians are the only group that arranges firing squads in circles. It is indeed hard to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, bind up the broken hearted, and heal the sick while we are busy attacking each other, our pastors, and the denomination down the street.

 

It’s almost comical, if it was not so sad, to think that some could believe that our Lord would come back to take away in a secret rapture a Church in such disunity; so far from the model He left us of what we should be. No, we must stop making excuses for why the promises of God do not function in the Church of today, and look to apply the Word of God as it is written in our own lives. Then we will see others drawn back to the God of our fathers.

On a pre-trib rapture

With their parasitic lives revolving around sit-coms, celebrity scandals, the latest sport event and the mall, the vast majority of Americans pay little heed to our nation's impending date with destiny. Refusing to acknowledge the clear warning signs that all is not well, they instead prefer to inoculate themselves against such painful realizations with the narcotic mantras of their marionette leaders; or the altered reality of the spin-doctored mass media. As the band plays on, few notice the slide of our beloved America into the dark night of a police state and the chains of slavery.

 

Where are the cries against the tyranny of the 'all powerful' federal government and the destruction of the Bill of Rights by executive order from the pulpits that once sang with the hollowed proclamation "Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God"?(Thomas Jefferson) Where is the united voice of the leaders of this Republic declaring "Any people that would give up liberty for a little temporary safety deserves neither liberty nor safety."? (Benjamin Franklin) They have been silenced to the tune of “I’ll fly away…” in a secret rapture, or kept busy playing the Manchurian Candidate’s game of the Republican or Democratic fantasy of real elections – all the while mindlessly busy arranging the chairs and furniture on the Titanic.

 

It is therefore certain that this mindless charge into destruction can only be quelled by a return to the understanding of the prophetic scriptures held by the first and second century Church; a purity of the Word of God unpolluted by the vain traditions of the twentieth century, and a heart felt return to the God of our fathers. Without which we will face the evil of the Anti-Christ in the New World Order powerless, as this battle can not be won by force of arms, but the Spirit of the Living God working along side us confirming the Word with signs and wonders; never by believing some ear tickling pipe-dream of flying away before the tribulation, while blindly following the “trust me” politicians that have sold our birth right.

No Fear For Those That Hear...


 Disregarding the obvious meaning and usage of the Greek words of Revelation 3:10, most of the Church in North America professes the theory as a ‘doctrine’ of the “Pre-Tribulational Rapture”; which is also in clear contradiction of numerous scriptures. Including, but for certain not limited to: Ecclesiastes 3:15; Isaiah 2:11, 17; Deuteronomy 19:15 and 2 Corinthians 13:1. They have thereby ignored the teachings of the early Church fathers by the perverting of whole sections of the Bible into a meaning that was rightly said to be heresy from the time it was first introduced in the 1830’s by Mary McDonald, J.N. Darby and the Plymouth Brethren. Indeed, those that taught this heresy were chased out of Scotland to the United States by the Church of England.

 S.P. Tregelles, a noted Bible scholar of his day, relates after attending Brethren prophetic conferences how this heresy came about in his book “The Hope of Christ’s Second Coming.”  In it he says, “I am not aware that there was any definite teaching that there should be a secret rapture of the Church at a secret Coming until this was given forth as an ‘utterance’ in Mr Irving’s church from what was then received as being the voice of the Spirit. But whether anyone ever asserted such a thing or not it was from that supposed revelation that the modern doctrine and the modern phraseology respecting it arose.” In other words, it was the ENGLISH “modern phraseology” translated from the Greek and “‘utterance’[s]” (first given by Mary McDonald with her claiming to be speaking words from God) which allowed this perverted understanding of the prophetic scriptures. Paul said on any such “‘utterance’”:

 

2Thessalonians 2:2 that you should not be soon shaken in mind or troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word or letter, as through us, as if the Day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, setting himself forth, that he is God.
