Oh yeah....I'm all jazzed up about the upcoming 1st anniversary of AOL-Journals!! I'd like to thank everyone for all of the wonderful comments and ideas.

Thanks also to everyone who has accepted requests and/or volunteered to help. Some of you have really caught the fever and either created some anniversary journals or added some anniversary flavor to your existing journals. Here are a few that I have already seen. Plans are in the works, dedications, toasts and artwork are being created, poems and haikus are in the works, music requests are in the works and pending, commemorative writings  are being penned, albums are being put together...

This community has an enormous and rich talent pool. I hope more citizens of AOL J Land will lend their hands/skills to making this a fun and enjoyable event. I've received questions about how this will be rolled out to the masses. My thought is that since this is  a blogging anniversary there will be a commemorative blog created which will have special entries and links to what various members of the community are doing to celebrate. I think listing/linking everything in one place would make it easy for everyone to locate all of the activities. But again I welcome suggestions. Of course if any of you master web designers out there would like to and/or have time to create an awesome website...well that would be fantastic!

Hmmm every good celebration deserves a parade!J!  If you'd like your journal listed in the virtual-parade to be held during the celebration, which will be on or about the 29th of July for X number of days, please send me the URL to your journal. Of course if you have more than one journal and you want them all to 'march' then please send me each URL!J!

I've decided to create a new screen name for AOL-J Land anniversary related items. It will help me keep track of things and separate those emails from all of the alerts and other email I usually get at this screen name. So...please click here to send me an anniversary related email.
