Work Romance Disasters
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I thought I'd save the real gushy stuff for the true love birds and ask about romance turned sour at the job.
This week's article: How to Keep Romantic Sparks at the Office From Burning Your Careeer delves into love gone awry. It's bad enough when things don't work out, but what about at work? Is it a good idea to date co-workers?
The topic's not new, but information travels fast and far these days. What's the worst work romance disaster story you've heard?

This work relationship didn't last long but long enough for him to steal my heart and my son's to a trip to the alter. Boy, was I ever wrong. Thought it would be a blessing. Found out after the I do's; that his intentions were not mine. Sad but true. Trust and believe, $$$ that is what it was about , a major move to another state and then in the mist of winter won't work I was NEAR my son's school. But finally after taking a few months in the blizzard weather and living around a fireplace to keep warm with heavy coats and scarves and hats and gloves on. I and my son then 10 yrs old moved home. Six months of Winter..I discovered restraint orders on this man from past relationships. after he trashed my things, I decided with his helpful attitude, to go. He was mentallly cruel and emotionally and physically mean. I returned home and started with nothing.. During the time we lived in the mts. he drained me dry $$$, We came home penniless. In the meantime, finding another job I was in a car accident that left me unable to work. and live on an income of little. but I am so very happy and content.. with my son and our lives now, but we are doing fine and happy.. Isn't that what it is all about, loving oneself and being content. Oh, by the way when I came back.. I did interview with the job; I left for him, I was declined to return. He had a sick mind, found out he was bipolar behavior.. after the fact. Oh, he also treaten to kill me with my own rifle. He told me how he was to do it also. In the courier paper was a similar article of such and the women is dead. Her Husband did go through with it. Even tho she had a restraint order about it.. Be truly careful out there. You never know how they truly are. If love does come to you Unconditionally true love your blessed.

well... it could of turned sour...
my boss was a lezbo, and her girlfriend is a serious QTee.... well, being friends we all hung out together after work/happy hours that would last 8-10 hours at the local watering hole...
truthfully, i'm not certain who seduced whom, but i will say this... it was one hell of a week end with the QTee... it was in mutual accord that her nor i discuss the affair too much around the office or with friends/co-workers...but once in a while the mutual 'looks' almost let the "cat out of the bag." but to keep in line with the blogg...it could of been a serious disaster for all involved... i'd do it again!!! :-) -

AS SOMEONE WHO IS NOW RETIRED, BUT HAD A VERY "HOT & HEAVY"
RELATIONSHIP WITH A CO-WORKER (BACK IN THE MID-1980s) WHO WAS A VERY LOVELY, YOUNG, EMOTIONALLY-IMMATURE AND FOOLISH
20-YEARS-OLD (I WAS 43 AT THE TIME), I CAN ONLY OFFER THESE
FEW WORDS OF ADVICE...... DON'T MAKE THE SAME STUPID MISTAKE
I MADE !!!!!! WE "CARRIED-ON" BOTH ON AND OFF THE JOB FOR OVER
A YEAR. IT WAS A GREAT YEAR FOR BOTH OF US, BUT WE BOTH LOST
OUR JOBS AND SHE MOVED TO "A-FAR-AND-DISTANT-CITY" (THANK
GOODNESS). I HAVEN'T SEEN OR HEARD FROM HER SINCE THE DAY I
DROVE HER TO THE AIRPORT FOR THE LAST TIME. WHEN I THINK BACK ABOUT WHAT A TERRIBLE ENDING THIS COULD HAVE HAD FOR
BOTH OF US (THE POSSIBILITIES ARE TOO NUMEROUS AND AWFUL TO
MENTION). SHE HAD NEVER BEEN MARRIED, BUT I WAS DIVORCED AND
HAD FOUR CHILDREN (THREE OF WHOM WERE OLDER THAN MY LOVER).
I'M JUST GLAD EVERYTHING TURNED-OUT AS "GOOD" AS IT DID FOR
EVERYONE INVOLVED.
