Random thoughts on a random day

The weather is not cooperating with our trip to the cemetery and the flag display. It has been very windy all week and as of last night we have been having thunder storms and rain on and off all day and night. Tomorrow is the first day of Fall so, I hope that it will change the weather a bit by Monday so we can go. Libby and I have two names that we would like to research and take pictures of the specific flag and the I.D. card that goes with it.

Libby has gone to Nordstrom's to pick up some pants she ordered. I think that she will then see the Tailor to get them shortened. It gave Libby a very good excuse to spend the afternoon browsing through the stores in the Mall.

Tomorrow we have a NASCAR race and a football game. The Washington Redskins will play the NY Giants. It should be a good game and I hope that Washington wins.

Monday we will take my brand new glasses back to the optical store to get fixed. Yes, folks, I already broke them. I tried to bend the arm a little to fit better over my left ear and managed to snap the entire tip of the arm off. When I called the lady who fit the glasses for me she was a little perturbed but, told me to bring them i and she would get them repaired. She also told me never to adjust anything on them again myself. I should just stop by and they would do it for me. I think I will also order a second pair. Having only one pair is restrictive and us old people should never be restricted.

We watched LENO last night and really enjoyed Hugh Laure from HOUSE. He is really a funny guy. I just can't get use to him with a British accent. I know he is a Brit but, his character on HOUSE is a gruff American speaking Doc. How can he change like that? I wonder if his friends in England think he has an American accent when he goes home to visit?

Hey guys, I've been having some issues with alerts not working and thought I'd stop by here. I noticed that you haven't posted in quite a while (almost a month) and that isn't like you ... Hope all is okay.

I've always thought the same thing about Hugh Laurie.  I think he's a great actor, but it always blows my mind when I hear him interviewed.  I just can't reconcile his real accent with his character's accent.  He's one of few actors that affect me that way.
