Feeling Happy

ENTRY  #  FOURTEEN  HUNDRED  &  EIGHT.

Picture by Dad.    4/30/08    This is a Sweet 100 grape tomato. Notice the little bloom in the center. We only  have two of these, We are trying them out..  Dad

Time is so precious-do not waste it.

Good Morning.

The tea and coffee is ready, would you like to have a cup before we try to talk. I think it might help us to think a little better. I am feeling fairly good again this morning, a good restful sleep last night done a lot for me., and I hope that you had a good night. Now we all need to have a good breakfast before we try to face the toils of another day. If we prepare ourselves in every way that we can before we go out it will make things go better for us.

I did not do very much outside yesterday, We have been haveing a little rain almost every day and the ground is a litttle wet. But the rain and sun is doing a lot for those tomatoes. We were fortunate that the freeze that was predicted did not come in full force. We are planning to have a new growth picture in the garden album in a few days.

My first school book, presented to me by my friends. Do any of you remember this book ?  It tell about Baby Ray and his little dog Penny.

Here is something new from TomatoCasual that I know you are going to like.

Clicking on this  http://urbangardencasual.com/ will take you to a lot of informationaboutgardening. Don't miss it, and let me know what you think.  Dad

Evaluating Your Impact: How Big is Your Footprint?

By Michael Nolan

In recent years we have been hearing more and more about how our individual carbon footprint has an effect on the world in which we live.

Nearly every aspect of our lives affect our carbon footprint, but we as urban gardeners have the ability to reduce our own footprint and help to beautiful our surroundings and clean the air we breathe at the same time.

Not only is growing your own urban garden enjoyable, thrifty and healthy, it reduces your impact on the environment substantially.

These two links below were very good yesterday, I enjoyed watching the eagles feed their little baby, and the baby chicks are also interesting.

    Hey Dad,
I am in time for lunch today rather than morning coffee!  I still say it's better late than never.  My mom has Sweet 100's that volunteer every year and they produce hundreds, no it's likely thousands of their sweet fruit.  All the kids in her neighborhood love them!  Hope you are still feeling good and are ready for a relaxing weekend.  I know I am!
Take care and I will talk to you soon!
    With love,
    Vicki in Birmingham

    Good Evening Dad,
Your Sweet 100 is beautiful!  I had a couple last year....they were excellent.  I had them running out my ears.

Oh, Dad, I think you're going to love those sweet grape tomatoes -- I have enjoyed some (though only from supermarket) and think they're just about the best, flavor-wise!  They're wonderful added to salads.  Let me know what you and Ms. Mary think, okay?

Looks like Mom Eagle is taking a break right now.  Good for her!

Sounds like the weather is just about perfect for your plants.  Are you still getting lots of birds to your feeders?  My yard is very noisy with lots of birds singing and squawking.  The cats just love that!  Wish I could have accessed the Urban Garden link -- it must be interesting.  We have 8 new little trees here -- wish us luck!  Slowly we are trying to make the yard into something good after so much neglect.

Have a wonderful rest of the day and evening, and big PURRS to the Princess! ^^

Good morning Dad! Wow I am so glad you posted about the eagles baby. I have been so busy I forget to look in on them sometimes and here it is they have had a baby. That is just so wonderful. :) Your tomato plants look really nice. For now I am going to have to live vicariously through your tomato plant pictures as Ian hasnt been able to till the garden. Every weekend it rains, and this weekend is no exception. He is only off on weekends now so that is the only time he can do it. Until he can get it done, I am going to have to wait to put in any tomato plants. I sure am glad for the coffee this morning. I really need it today. Lots to do, lots to do! ;) Love, Kelly

Good Morning Dad,  I loved the thought for the day today.  I hope that you have a wonderful day today and I am looking forward to seeing some new pictures.  I will have to go on over to Jims to see his fishing pictures tomorrow.  Linda
