Feeling Happy
ENTRY # FOURTEEN HUNDRED & NINETEEN...

Picture by Dad. May 14th 2008.
Time is so precious-do not waste it.
Good Morning.
I put happy in the mood spot above this morning, and I do feel that I have much to be happy and thankful for, this don't mean that I don't have any problems or the trials of just every day living , I do and we all do and will untill the end of life's short day. For one thing I am thankful that I have been given another day of life another" clean sheet " and I want to use this day trying to encourage others to smile and be content if you possible can. The most important thing in this life is to find out what God's will is for us, and then do it.
I am hoping that all of you are doing good wherever you are. I have been getting some email and comments from very far away places lately , and it makes the world seem a little smaller to me, and I have been checking on that smile and it is the same every where on this earth. We may not understand their language but we do their smile.
I wonder if a cup of hot Tea or Coffee would be of interest to you, well if so it is ready and it is good, I know because I am already sipping on it, but I need some one to enjoy it with me, so come on in here. Dad.
I want to tell you about the Rose pictured at the top of the page, that is the first Rose of this season for me. And I am going to have plenty more to come. So watch out all of you rose lovers, you are going to have a little competion from old Dad.

Feeding Your Food
By Michael Nolan
In a minute I’m going to rant about fertilizing your tomato plants, but first I need to cover something that is a little more important.
This topic was supposed to be saved for another couple of weeks, but when I read the news today, I felt that I should go ahead and write it now.
A popular brand of fertilizer products has been recalled and you need to know about it as soon as possible.
The products are all made by the Scotts company, and the specific items that are recalled are: Read the rest of this entry »

Butterfly Gardens For Urban Gardeners
By Cindy Naas
Attracting beautiful butterflies to your garden all summer long is easy if you create a butterfly garden for these lovely creatures.
There are many plants which are perfect for smaller gardens and even some which can be grown in pots. Why not build a butterfly garden to enjoy this summer?
Elements Of The Butterfly Garden
A successful butterfly garden needs to include food for attracting mature butterflies as well as food for caterpillars. Butterflies also need a source of water. Combining these requirements can make a garden which is attractive to butterflies and people, too. Creating a beautiful small landscape with the plants below will repay the gardener with the sight of butterflies sitting on flowers and hovering in the air in the garden.

Catalan food is distinctly regional, and not what people usually thinkof as Spanish food per se; it has more in common with French Provencale cooking.
The most ubiquitous food I found during an all-too-brief stay in Barcelona a few years ago was Pa Amb Tomàquet, literally translated as “bread with tomato.”
The recipe for this is so easy that it doesn’t even warrant an official recipe format. Toast bread (tastiest if grilled with a bit of olive oil); rub toast a few times with a raw garlic clove; and rub the toast with the open face of half a tomato*. (That half-tomato will work its magic on several pieces.)
Simple. Delicious. Needs no improvement.
*To be honest, this method has inspired me to make good use of the cutting board after slicing tomatoes. Sop that juice up with some bread or toast. It makes for a more savory and delicious sandwich.
