Feeling Happy
ENTRY # FOURTEEN HUNDRED & TWENTY ONE.
Picture by Mary- May 12th 2008.
Time is so precious-do not waste it.
Good Morning.
I hope that I am finding all of you feeling good and able to smile this morning. I do feel good because I had a real good night. Of course you remember that this is saturday, so don't you dare move for a few hours yet. I am sipping on my coffee and trying to think of a few things that I might say this morning.
I am going to make it a little short this morning as I do have a few things that I need to get done early.
I could never explain to you how much I enjoy writing this journal, it's a pleasure to me. My first journal entry was almost 5 years ago. My main purpose for it then was to help you grow a good home grown tomato, and that desire has not changed it is still the same, (but you know that we do have a little fun along the way, like talking about smiling, drinking coffee, the eagles, the baby chicks and posting a few things that I think would be of interest to you) And I hope that I can continue doing this as long as I am able, to pick and peck on this keyboard. If you ever see any changes please get after me as soon as you can.

How To Build a Water Garden and Wildlife Pond
By Cindy Naas
Water features are popular with many homeowners.
A pond makes an attractive addition to your garden. Creating a pond to attract wildlife is easy and also is lower maintenance than the traditional fish pond. Following a few simple rules will attract wildlife and will also give your urban garden a place of calm beauty.
Getting Started
A wildlife pond should never be more than 3 feet deep. This is deep enough to allow frogs to thrive but is still a safe depth for the home garden. My own pond is 3′ deep by 5′ wide, and is home to frogs, dragonflies and is visited by many birds and Read the rest of this entry »

Gorgeous flowers, Ms. Mary -- thanks for sharing! What kind are they? I would love to have some in my garden -- that hot pink is so beautiful.
The little garden pond is so beautiful, too, Dad -- wish I could build one in my yard! My friend next door has one and it is so lovely, with lotus blossoms and fish and iris and grasses and all.
Little eaglet is getting so big and independent so fast! And those hummingbird pictures are extraordinary -- what a thrill to see them. I've never seen hummingbird eggs or babies before -- what an amazing thing that the person captured these shots without disturbing the little family.
Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend and I look forward to checking in with you on Monday...
Best to you all and big PURRS to the Princess beauty! ^^ -
Hey Dad,
I love Rhodendrons, that one is so beautiful...I miss not being in the mountains in the spring to see them growing everywhere. It looks like you are getting up earlier and earlier every day! I got up early enough (about 6) for a weekend, but have just now taken time to stop to have a cup of coffee with you. I hope you and Mary have a delightful weekend!
Talk to you soon!
With love,
