NO! I'M NOT DEAD!.......YET!!!

Hope everyone has been doing well!! It's been a long time since I've had a few minutes to sit down and make an entry! I've been missing you guys! Hope every Father has had a great Father's Day! I got treated to a lunch at my favorite new restaurant! LaBamba's, I love Mexican! I had written a entry before church this morning but, when I saved. It just disappeared!!! (this computers I want to take a hammer to it sometimes!) Thanks everyone for the kind comments and emails I will try to answer all of them this week!
We have been really working hard the past few weeks and I am usually frazzled when I finally make it home! We have been doing a lot of rework for another department and it has really been ......AN ADVENTURE!....(That's a nice way of putting it!lol) Been working some overtime and fighting trying to stay on schedule!
Sarah and David, had a couple of trying weeks! They have never been kept by anyone but my Mother-in-law when they were out of school! She passed away last August so we had to enroll them in DAYCARE this summer. (They were not happy!! At all!!)!They lady that owns the Daycare! We attended church with her so we knew they would be well taken care of! She is really a great Christian lady! She was so happy when we contacted her and she was really kind and saved them a spot! The first day they said that they were not going back! When I picked them up I wish you could have seen the looks that I got from them! It took some really fast talk to get them to go back!lol They made it through the first week! The second week they went to Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church and saw a lot of their friends and things seemed of get better for them! They have made new friends and seem to settle them down so now they look forward to going!(Praise God!) It's just added an extra hour to my afternoons but, it's only for two months! I have to drive into town to pick them up! Denise drops them off in the mornings! Since I leave so early! We have been trying to spend a little extra time with them to get them to settle down into the routine! They really miss their granny! Now, Joshua is at work a lot so they feel a little left out!

We have had some really dry weather around here lately! But, Praise God we got a really good rain for about three or four hours yesterday afternoon! I'm really happy I don't have to water everything this afternoon! Hope every one has a good week!
God Bless

SAME OLD, SAME OLD!

O.K. let's try this again I just lost my entry.(don't you hate it when that happens!) I hope everyone is having a great week! Mine is going the same ole way nothing exciting to write about! If you see alot of typing mistakes please forgive!(thank god for spell check!) My doctor has decided that I need to put a special ointment on my hands and wear white cotton gloves at night! (I look like a mime!) This is suppose to help my hands to continue to heal!!!! They are still extremely dry! Seems I am allergic to something at work (other than work!lol) Just my luck! huh! So my entry will be short tonight! (everyone says, PRAISE GOD!)
Talking about my luck! Memorial Day came in with a bang for us! My central heating and cooling unit went out Sunday night! We are having temp already around 93 and 94 so I knew I had to get that thing fixed before summer really gets here! The compressor went out this time! OUCH!!
Guess who is speaking at Enterprise High School Graduation! I'll give you a hint! Her Husband is the president! We had planned to go to see the ones from our church that is graduating but, I figure there will be a huge crowd now! So we'll just watch the video!

O.K. all you wise gardeners out there I need some help! I bought this flower at Lowe's last year and the bugs seem to find it quite tasty! I've sprayed and even dusted with vegetable dust to try to get them to stop eating it but, they will not even let it bloom before they eat the blooms clean off the plant! The dust slowed them a little so any help will be appreciated!
I'll be check in with you guys a little later and hope everyone is having a good evening!
God Bless

WELL!.......ALL I CAN SAY IS..... HE WAS HONEST!

Well, I raise my kids to be honest and any situation and Joshua took that to the next level today!
The church had a Memorial Day Service and Honored the Graduates in the congregation today! Our church is in Enterprise and runs about three to five hundred between the two morning services. The church was really full today with military families since we live very close to Fort Rucker which is the training facility for army helicopter pilots so we have a lot of military families in our church! After praise and worship and the children choir sang they called the four graduates up to honor them!
My son as proud as I am of him came walking up dressed with a shirt and tie(which is really a miracle) and they were wearing their caps and gowns! I looked down and the boy had on FLIP FLOPS! Denise saw them about the same time that I did and we just kinda looked at each other and shook our heads!lol
Then they called each one up to the pulpit and read a little biography.(that the graduates wrote about them selves!) Joshua followed the one HONOR student that had all kinds of awards and cords and Scholarships! Then our son steps up and In his biography he wrote how he was amazed that he actually made it though his senior year since he was always late and had missed several days and (I quote)"HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WANTED TO BE WHEN HE GREW UP!...IF HE EVER GREW UP! " He said he was going to take it one day at a time! There was probably about 350 people in the service that heard this fine biography!
After church I ask him about his biography and He said that he was not going to lie and make things up!!! He said YOU have always told me not to lie!!
SOOOO......How's your Sunday!

"WOW, ITS BEEN A WEEK" (I'M HAVING WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS)

Hope, everyone has had a good week! I can't believe it's been nearly a week since I've made a entry! I have help this morning with my entry writing! Sarah is sitting with me as I write this and she is giving me pointer on what to write and what colors to write with(Hence the Pink!)
I have not had a lot to talk about this week! Just real busy, I've had doctors appointment one afternoon after work, Helped my father in law to plant a small garden a couple of afternoon!(a little late but, it's just something for him to do to just keep him busy! He's almost ninety)Honors Ceremonies for the kids at school and it was one thing after another this week! So, my computer time kinda fell to the wayside!lol
The highlight of our week was Joshua's graduation last night! PRAISE GOD! he has made it though high school and I pray he is going to go to Junior college this fall! They were going to have the ceremony on the football field but, the weather didn't cooperate with them so, it got moved into the gym at the last minute! Denise had taken off work yesterday to help out with the decorating and sitting up and she said they just keep putting up and taking down and moving!lol It's was mass confusion! but, they pulled it off!
Tomorrow at church they are going to have a honor's service for all the seniors they get to wear their Cap and Gowns to church tomorrow(which might be interesting since Joshua play's drums on the Praise and worship team!lol I can just see it now!!) The school was kind enough to allow them to hang on to them until Monday!
Let us close I have a list of things I want to do since I have a three day weekend this week! First off is a trip to the barber shop(I'm looking kinda shaggy!)

I will be checking in with everyone's journals off and on today!
God Bless

FIRST FRUITS AND A BUSY WEEKEND

Hope everyone is having a great weekend it has been extremely busy around here! We had family day at work yesterday and we had a really great time! The company has been around for a long time but, until recently they had stayed real small when I started to work there they had only one hundred employees now we are up to six hundred and fifty three! so it was a large crowd! Tours started off the morning at the plants which is a very rare thing since we service the military! I got to play tour guide for a little while yesterday morning walking around with groups and making sure no one strayed or took pictures in the facilities! Then around eleven we went around to Troy State University tailgate area and they served us lunch they had things for the kids and gave away door prizes (I won a $25.00 gift card to Lowe's, my favorite store) . Then they gave us free tickets for us to go see Troy State and University of South Alabama play baseball! GO TROJANS It was really a great day my kids really enjoyed them selves! I got a little too much sun!lol but it was worth it!
This afternoon after church we had Baccalaureate services for Joshua Senior Class! It was a really nice service and the whole town it looked like attended! They Graduate Friday night! He ready to get it over with and so are we!lol So it been a really busy weekend! We are just resting the rest of the afternoon! I think I'm going to have a "Smallville" marathon and not do anything!(not really, I always have yard chores)

Our blueberries are beginning to turn ripe and my grapes are really beginning to grow thought I would share a few pictures! I'll try to get around to everyone's journal a little later!
God Bless

"MR LORRIES NEW SKILL"

Well I made it to Friday still have the little hair that I have left on my head still intact so "It's all Good"! Today went much better(Thank the Good Lord!)
I Tell you that the Lorrie never ceases to amaze me!lol Lorries are able to mimic almost any sound that they hear! If you remember I told you that last year he got where he would mimic the frogs that lives in the flower bed by the garage crocking!lol So you are able to teach them to talk! Well there is a lady who owns the pet store where we buy his food that has one and she has taught her bird to say "Lets Pray"!lol I thought that was great and I told my kids that we needed to work with "Mr. Lorrie and teach him to talk!"
Well, my kids heard it saying "Lets Pray" and it sit them on fire and they have kept on with Mr Lorrie until they have him saying! Get this...... "Kiss Me Baby" !!.... Great Huh! Joshua was behind this little escapade!
I have a good friend that is a minister at a local church and he was here the other day and "Mr. Lorrie" looked at him and said"Kiss Me Baby!" I wanted to crawl under the house! He just kinda looked at me! I could read his mind like a book! He laughed about it but, I wanted to go "Hide Some Where"!
I was talking to the lady at the pet store and told her how he has got where he squawks and Jumps around and rips at his toys in his cage all the time. She said it would probably help to get another bird to keep him company! ( I thought lady you are crazy) I am not going to buy another bird and put in my garage! I don't even own these that I have inherited!
She told me if I would like I could bring him and put him in the cage with the other bird and see how he would act with another one. I thought what would it hurt plus I might get him off my hands for a while! Maybe he would calm down and learn some new manners! Well, I took him this afternoon and was going to leave him over the weekend! We put him in the cage with the other bird and the first thing that stupid bird did was say! "Kiss Me Baby"! The other bird (who by the way is a female )just looked at him!
Then She Said "Glory!!! ...."God has answered My Prayers"!.........................Gotchua!!!lol:-)
I heard that little story on the radio the other night David Jeremiah used it in his sermon!lolI laughed so hard I knew I would have to use it!lol I just personalized it!(Please forgive my little joke!) Hope everyone has a great evening!
God Bless

"GONE CAVE HUNTING" (to hide in for a while)

If anyone knows where a cave is anywhere around this area please tell me I need to go hide for a while!!! My week is just getting better and better! Tommorrow is Friday isn't it! Please tell me it is!
My day started off as usual today and when I got to work the beam that I was building at work was almost finished all I liked was two brackets to complete it. I was so excited it was the first time that we had to build these parts they had been moved from another department for us to build the other people were having a difficult time with them. The quailty inspector kept telling us how good they were looking! I was building one side and Miss Eloise was building the other! I had been working on this one particular part for TWO WEEKS. I drilled the holes to put my bracket on. There were two and one was not to be drilled out. It would be installed at the next level. After I finished drilling I looked down and realized I had drilled the "WRONG BRACKET"!! This ment that some of the smaller parts had to be replaced. Which also ment I had to disassemble the WHOLE PART!! MY TWO WEEKS WORK was just flushed down the toilet!! In the matter of minutes!! I was heartbroken!!
This was found to be quite amusing to some of my co-workers since they say I never scrape parts!(trust me I have my share) but, they gave me trouble the rest of the day!
Soooo.... how was your day?

Hearing house noises
I THINK IT'S MONDAY AGAIN!

Have you ever felt like some days it just does not pay? I had one of those days today! We have had some kind of bug going around and I've been under the weather today! David had it Monday! It doesn't last long just makes you feel like you have no energy!
Then, I guess this computer just wants to do what it wants sometimes or maybe as we say at work it's "Operator Error". I had blocked several people from leaving comments I don't know what I did but I finally figured out how to unblock them! Sorry! if I blocked you it was unintended! Thank's Miss Lucille for bringing this to my attention! I think I have it corrected! If anything like that happens again just let me know and I'll see what's going on! I still trying to learn how to use this thing! If you come across that problem just leave me a comment on one of my other journals!!
I did find out what kind of flower that I have it is a "Rose of Sharon"! Thanks Miss Helen for telling me! After she told me the name I goggled it and found a picture and that is what it is!
Well everyone have a great evening!
God Bless

Feeling Chillin'
Hearing sarah and David watching the shaggy dog!
"OH LORD! HE'S GARDENING AGAIN" AND "A SHOOTING "
Hope everyone has had a great Tuesday. Today has been very quite for me. O.K. I need some help! Can someone tell me the name of this flower? ........

It belong to my mother in law! She loved flowers and she had bought it and sit it under some trees until she found where she wanted to plant it! It sit under those tree for THREE YEARS it was there so long that the roots grew through the pot and deep into the ground!
When the grass was cut it was just kinda mowed around! When she passed away last August and David my brother in law was sitting a lot of them out that she had bought and could not move it! You could pick it up and there would be two foot of root growing from the bottom of the plastic pot into the ground!lol He told me if I could move it I could have it. So I took a shovel and dug up the root it was a job! I had to cut the plastic pot off and actually cut the plant into two pieces. I didn't know if the smaller one would survive but it did!! So I have two of them and they are thriving. Just don't know the name of them! So any help will be appreciated.
I stopped off at Lowe's yesterday and found this in the garden department.

It's a different type of begonia than they normally have. So I had to buy one. It's called a "Rieger Begonia" and I had never seen one! Thought it was really pretty and I just hope I can keep it alive. Usually when I pay full price for flowers they are the ones that die!lol
While I was out in the yard watering flowers I heard someone shooting in the cow pasture! I thought Oh Lord! The deer hunters had trespassed in the cow pasture and my father in law would have a fit. But then I remembered it's not deer season! So, I walked down there to see what was going on now days you never know!
It was the "Donkey Man" shooting at the "Dog Lady" dogs they had got back into the cow pasture and was chasing his new baby calf around! He saw me and started cussing! He said, He had enough of those animals and had warned the woman that if those dogs bothered another one of his animals he would shot them. (and He's a man of his word!) I think he filled a couple of them with bird shot! I don't think that he will have to worry about them coming back because while I walking down there I saw four of them hauling butt toward her house!lol (like a scalded dog!....ah..... or should I say a shot dog!)

"WELL, MOTHER'S DAY CAME IN WITH A BANG"
Really glad I heard from most of you and know that everyone north of me(that's just about everyone) is safe and sound from the storms that came across early Sunday morning! Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day!
We did something a little different yesterday! My wife has her hands full with us and a job and looking after her father(which she spends a lot of time doing) and since we went out to eat Friday night. (Also, the restaurants were overflowing Sunday) I decided that after church we would get out of "Dodge City" for a while. Guess where we went..............(Ok I'll give you a hint!)
Yep! We went to the Beach! We loaded up on Joshua Jeep and took the top off and headed south.(I felt like we were on Spring break.....ah.......only with kindergartners!) It had cleared up well before we left for church and I checked the forecast and was suppose to be clear and 85! (There was one thing I overlooked) The wind was blowing so had you could hardly stand up. The wind gust would blow the sand so hard that it would sting the stew out of you.(It felt like you were being sand blasted) The water currents were so bad that they had double red flags which means "No Swimming"! It was not really a good "Beach Day"!!(but, we made the best of it!)
The kids were so funny since they could not swim they wanted to just walk down the beach. I told them to go ahead and I was going to take a few pictures. (I took three) Before, they were back screaming they were ready to go because the sand was blasting so!lol
So we went over to the new Shopping complex and visited my Brother in law David at his store that he manages. They have been only open a couple of weeks and he wanted us to see the store! This complex was amazing. It is only in it's first stage but a lot of stores have already opened. They have a huge food complex with a types of different restaurant! We ate at "Five Guys" Hamburgers and Fries! If any of you have not tried it I was really impressed. They have boxes of roasted peanuts sitting around so you eat them while you wait on your food. (You can throw your hulls on the floor and they don't care!! My kids thought that was amazing! ) And you better believe that they took advantage of it.lol Even though the winds was blowing strong we still had a great time. The Florida Panhandle has some of the most beautiful beaches!
