Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Good afternoon friends ~ it was finally a nice day!  I spent the entire day outdoors working in my gardens & pond.  I planted & transplanted and dug so many holes I'm surprised I didn't break the shovel.

I had 2 loads of wash done before I headed to the barn this morning so I've been on the go since 5:30 and my poor body feels every hour right now!  I cleaned up the cat house and ended up staying there almost 2 hours.  Hope & Zeus's house was cleaned as well, I let them out to run around for a few hours and they had a ball.

Doug has off Monday - YAY - (he never has off) and has been feeling so bad lately because his allergies are terrible right now.  His sinuses are infected now too so a long weekend is good for him.  We have alot of running to do as well.

I may not be on too much this weekend so I wish everyone a Happy & Safe Memorial Day weekend.

Here are two little videos I shot this morning.  One is the new peeps who hatched on Mother's Day and the other is our obnoxious chinese geese.

That hen and her chicks took me back, especially when I was little and really related to baby chicks.  Those geese have some fearsome honks.  I was petrified of a one rancher lady's flock of geese who protected that ranch with such fierceness children hardly dared go there and there was always someone getting chased by a ferocious goose and feeling they barely escaped with their lives. How do these geese respond to strangers?  That honk would give pause alone.  Gerry

Those chicks better watch where they're sitting!  Looks like mom was gonna kick 'em across the yard.  ;)  I need to get out and finish all my planting.  I planted about 20 sunflowers the other day and the next day I went out to check on them (they were already about a foot tall since I started them indoors) and the neighborhood bunny came by and ate off their little heads!  I was a little mad since I purposefully planted food for HIM.  I mean, what rabbit doesn't like carrots?  Now I don't know if I should bother with the others or not.  Silly rabbit, sunflowers are for birds!
    Love,

I love the video's you shared with us. The baby chicks and the geese. The chicks are adorable! The geese were just talking up a storm lol.

You have definetly had a full day! Send us some pictures of your garden and pond please. How many cats do you have? And how do you keep up with all of them...besides loving everyone of em :-P. Ever since I was young I have wanted to live on a piece of property~where I could have all the animals I wanted *grining.*

Florida's weather is getting really nice and breezy...I love it. I can't wait till
the  beach water gets to a comfortable 72 degrees :-).

I hope Doug gets to feeling better soon. I feel for him, bless his hearts. I also have had allergy and a bad sinus infections, plus a double inner ear infection in both ears. I went to the Drs. Monday because my throat felt like I was swallowing broken glass everytime I swallowed :( , and it felt like an ice pick was stabbing into my inner ear.

I hope Doug will see a Dr. soon. Mark my husband also has a 3 day weekend off woo-hoo! I love spending time with him :-).

I hope you and your family will have a wonderful 3 day weekend. And a wonderful Memorial Day!!!!

    HUGS~Donna
