Feeling Mischievous
Beyond the dog house!!
I am soooooo in the dog house...actually I am beyond the dog house, more like tied to a chain in the yard!
We had a busy day planned and had to leave the house early for an 8:00 appointment.
Doug asked me at 6 am if I would give him a haircut and said, "I know it's early". I told him "no problem I have had two cups of coffee, I'm fine" and proceeded to get the clippers. I just buzz through his hair with a clipper so it's no big deal, been doing it for years.
We're both in good moods and I take the first swipe through his hair and I think to myself, "hmmm, I can see his scalp, this looks different", well....I didn't have the guard on the clipper!!
I said, "uh-oh, I didn't have the guard on!" he jumps from the chair and heads to the mirror...he was not happy with what he saw and I don't recall the exact words he used to express himself but I got the point. LOL
I had no other choice but to continue, I tried to use the 1/4" guard but it wouldn't blend in...now he is almost bald!
I finished his hair and made myself scarce taking care of the animals. I tried to tell him he looked good and look at all the "stars" who have that look, Daughtry, Vin Diesel, Bruce Willis, Kojak...ok, Kojak didn't go over well. :(
Note to self....two cups of coffee are NOT enough when doing a haircut at 6 am and...when you've really uspet someone it is probably not the best time to come up with lame points to make them feel better.
We did go about our day, he had a hat handy at all times and he had to tell everyone we saw what happened to his hair...or lack of.
I am starting to like it and love to feel it, he feels like a shaved cat (again, probably not the best thing to say!).
What a way to start the weekend.

I am dying here.ROFLMBO
This is a rerun of a few weeks ago when our son did the same thing to hubby.-except-I hated it but knew not to say so.But inside I was dying with laughter- it was hideous. But it has grown back -in fact son trimmed it again-this time with the guard on-but he was a nervous wreck.
LOL-LOL

Can you tell him you were helping him prepare for HOT weather? Oh boy, if I did that to any of my boys I'd be tied to a chain in the yard - NO dog house. ::sigh:: My husband won't let me touch his hair, as he already had a traumatic experience when his mom cut his hair as a child. LOL
Hopefully all is well now and he likes the sexy new look. :-)

Just tell him it will grow back. Sometimes I feel like I want to shave me head just to keep all the wispy pieces from beating my face in the wind constantly when I am outside trying to work! Tell him its a great summertime haircut, he may even grow to like it. ;) Next time he will wait til you have had ALL of your coffee. ;) Love ya, Kelly

It grows on you after awhile. I shave Doc's head for him. He is Daughtry look a like in that manner. Yet it never fails he seems to always manage to say something to piss me off just before I do the deed. I've told him one of these days I'm going to swipe too deep and scalp him. (He came up with that reference to me being indian and it makes me even madder at times)...
I seldom if ever slip with razor on his head. The funny thing is I HAVE to do it, he looks like he had a fight with a feral cat if he does it. (Hugs) Indigo
