The Smokin' Sports Gun

Through the years I know I'm not the only one who's been thinking "Who's after George?". George is turing 75 on the fourth of july, he's not going to be there forever. Today, at a Steinbrenner's press conference we got the Answer: Steve Swindal. Steinbrenner said "I think it's very important to the whole family and Steve, who's going to carry on," Steinbrenner said. "I think it's important to him to do something great for New York." Steinbrenner 's blind as a bat, Swindal's not going to do anything dor New York, this is not good.

Now I know most of your are celebrating, don't, this guy is more of a prick than Steinbrenner. You're also like "Who the hell is Steve Swindal?". Steve Swindal is married to Jessica (George's Daughter). He is also a Yankee general partner (whatever that means).

We all know most of the time when a girl marries a rich guy she's a gold digger. When a guy marries a rich girl it's even worse (ala John Kerry, by the way I'm not a republican). In most cases they're usually greedy businessmen who want all the money and the power that the women got them. Swindal's the coverboy for those kinds of guys. C'mon now, you know with a name like Swindal this guy is bad news from the start. Watch, the second he becomes the owner he'll divorce Jessica and he'll still have all the power.

This is horrible for two reason:

1. For Yankees fans Swindal won't be pushing the GM to make moves to help the team. He'll be pushing you wallets open to pay for a loosing team. As if he wasn't going to get enough money from being the owner of the most valuable franchise in baseball. He is greedy and money-hungry and he wants the team for the money and the money alone. He also want's to be able to say he's "the boss" which no one but Steinbrenner will ever be able to say they are. He's all about the $money$ not the team. This guy's another Donald Sterling in the making.

2. I'm a Met fan, I can still appreciate the history of the Yankees because I can appreciate the history of baseball. With Swindal at the helm the Yankees will become a laughing stock in baseball because of what they used to be (before most of us were born and under Steinbrenners reign). It'll be horrible yet Swindal will bringing in all the dough. Not only would this be bad for the Yankees this would be bad for all of baseball. And not only ruin the Yankees but the entire game itself!

And Swindal is trying to pull the wool over all their (the fans and the Yankees organization) eyes acting all modist saying "Don't read a whole lot into it" as if he doesn't want it to happen. He's only doing that because he knows it's going to happen and no one would suspect what he would do.

If anyone knows Steinbrenner, you better call your boy and tell him he's making a monumental mistake. He probably already has Steve Swindle in his will, this has to be stopped.

  If you are going to bash this guy I think you need to have your facts straight.  There is a obvious error........
