Feeling Chillin'
To Much to talk about
First off I'm going to apologize this week has been hectic but finally classes are out and you're back to you regularly scheduled programing...
First, and most most importantly because of my east coast bias, part two of the Subway Series starts tonight. This has all the makings of the worst Subway Series ever. The Mets just won a series but right now they're still boring and they still suck. And the Yankees have had the same storyline all season so far: Can they come back and make the playoffs? That's all they want to talk on New York's Radio shows. Especially on WFAN (no shit! They appear on YES Network). And this series will be boring.

Why doesn't it just say welcome to Boredom? You know what these fans will be screaming tonight? "BORING, BORING, BORING!" The guy in that Yankees shirt is saying to that other guy? "How 'bout we ditch this joint and go watch Hockey?" The other guy's like "You're right watching the ice at Madison Square Garden will be better than this"
Only two things are going to be some what of a storyline, that that Pedro is starting against the Yankees which is only going to be for one game. The other is Willie Randolph versus Torre which at this point no one cares about because they played before and nothing really happened. It'll be the Mets versus the Yankees. The same way it would be the Pirates versus the Mariners. Now yes my fellow New York fans are going to go watch it anyway and unfortunately so will I, but still why?
New Yorkers are going to watch this series because they have to. Because New Yorkers love to be depressed and have something to compain about which is why they watched the Knicks. Also we have to keep up with Boston because if we don't they're going to start crap that they're more loyal (which they already are). You know what one unnamed Yankees fan after they lost 4 straight games to Boston in the ALCS "Now I know how Boston has felt the last 86 years." Let me get this straight you go a whole 4 years without a World Series Championship, you lose one series badly one time and you know how Boston has felt. Boston has felt it x23.5 times worse. I say 23.5 because of Boston went throught that 21.5 times longer and two names count for thata whole others times. They are, Bucky Dent and Bill Buckner. They've gotten "bucked" out too many times.
In conclusion me my friends, and George Coztanza are really the only New York Sports fans who really know what the hell they're talking about with New York sports (not the only ones, but you get the point). Any New Yorkers are going to watch the Subway either because they're on crack or because they have to.

Second, and also because of my east coast bias is more important than the third thing that is that the Knicks traded Kurt Thomas for Quentin Richardson. Congratulations Isiah, you've finally made your first dumb trade as a New York general manager and will now be subject to all the critizism all New York GM's get. Living in New Yorks finally gotten to his head, no GM's ever the same. Now Let me tell tell you how this trade is stupid.
"We'll, you have to understand, I'm a GM in New York"
Now the Knicks have four starting guards, Marbury (who they need to trade, but is our New York boy), Allan Houston (who they're overpaying), Jamal Crawford (who they just got last year from Chicago), and Quentin Richardson (who they just traded for). Either of those most cases would enought to make them a starter. New York, we have a problem.
In a way it make sense because Richardson made the most three-pointers in the NBA last year, and Marbury needs someone to pass to but still, bad trade. That trade was only for Marbury, and Marbury needs to go.

Third, I was going to write about the Spurs winning it all. But, my east coast bias kicks in again. All that really does for me is prove my point that Greg Popovich is the best coach in the NBA. And is better than Larry Brown.
I'm for New York, I don't care about the Spurs. The Spurs?
