Which Is It?
Well, the sun gods were shining down on me....
And it felt SO good!
I was out in the play yards early afternoon. It was so sunny and bright, I was wearing sunglasses.
Most of the dogs we have boarding can play together, so I was filling yards with A dogs, then went over to the other side of the building and started bringing the B dogs down, too.
I filled the yards, opened inside gates that divide the yards, and let them mingle. We were probably outside more than an hour, while I cleaned and scooped. It came time for me to start taking everyone back to their respective suites. I checked the activity books, and began assessing who was getting private walks.
I left those dogs in the yards. Once the others were settled with fresh water and cookies, I took the first two dogs for their walk.
Midway through the walk, the sky darkened a bit. I took off my shades.
By the time we got back to the kennel (about 10 minutes) it looked like it was going to rain. Put those dogs away, went back to get the last one from the yard, and by the time I got back onto the walking trail, it smelled like rain.
Just as we returned to the clinic (another 10 minutes later) the rain started. This is not unusual in my state. The weather flip flops like that a lot. I was silently hoping the sun would make another appearance before the day was done.
But, I turned the corner of A kennel, heading to B kennel where Sierra was staying, and it did, indeed start to rain. Something larger than a raindrop caught my eye over my shoulder; I turned quickly, but saw nothing. In the air, nor on the ground. Just little splats of rain. I had no jacket on (of course).
Two more "things" falling from the sky grabbed my attention. Just as it was dawning on me what I was "seeing", my office manager came out the back door and confirmed it...
It was SNOWING.
Sunny and warm, to rain, to very large (benign) snowflakes falling occurred over the course of 1.5 hours!
And why am I surprised...?
This morning it is warm and sunny.
Better bring two jackets. Maybe gloves. And a scarf.
Or sunglasses and sunscreen.
Or an umbrella.
My bag is gonna be full today...

Seriously, that is some nutty weather! LOL

That's funny. I'm glad you were able to get all the dogs exercised and walked before it started doing much, though. I'll be back to finish catching up with your entries as soon as I can.

You do have some strange weather up there. It would be hard to plan for your day when the weather changes that quickly. Hope you have a happy tomorrow! : )
