Ya Gotta Laugh Every Once In A While...
...even if ya gotta laugh at yourself...
Came home from work yesterday. Decided to pop in on my neighbor friend to see how she was doing (a few days post carpal tunnel release surgery).
Knocked on the door, was invited in, and plopped down on her (amazingly comfy) couch.
She was watching the Food Network. Rachel was making three different kinds of pizza.
I started watching.
She pulled out a huge mushroom, and began cutting it up.
Without looking at my friend, I said, "Oh, I LOVE Bordatella Mushrooms."
I took pause for a moment, thought about what had just sprung from my mouth and then said, "That's not what they're called, is it?"
We both had a laughing fit when we first realized what they are really called, and THEN realized what I had originally called them...
Seems working at a veterinary clinic, regardless of whether I work directly with the medical staff or not, is beginning to affect me in very strange ways...
Bordatella, Portobello; what's the diff???
***It just occurred to me that some don't know what "Bordatella" is/means...
It is a vaccination given to dogs to prevent "kennel cough." LOL! Has nothing whatsoever to do with mushrooms or cooking!***
