In Annapolis, Maryland, a 17 year old high school senior with Asperger's Syndrome named Christopher Coard is vying for the Youth of the Year Award. The Boys and Girls Club where he lives have been very supportive of him and helped direct him towards his dreams and goals.
The winner goes on to compete with other Youth of the Year winners from other counties in Maryland. State winner then goes to compete with other state winners until a national winner is declared. That winner gets a scholarship and visits the White House and meets the President.
