Laugh-In's Dick Martin RIP

Last night, TV veteran/comic Dick Martin passed away in Santa Monica, California, due to respiratory problems.  Martin was one half of the comedy team Rowan and Martin who hosted the hit show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In during the late 1960s to the early 1970s.  He was 86 years old.

Laugh-In was famous for these quotes: You bet your bippy!, Look that up in your Funk & Wagnall's!, and Sock it to me!

Martin started off as a neighbor on The Lucy Show in the early 1960s before Laugh-In.  His partner Dan Rowan passed away back in 1987.  In later years, Martin sometimes appeared on the Newhart sitcom during the 1980s, which he sometimes directed.

He'll be greatly missed.  I loved watching him on TV when I was little.

RIP, Dick!
